I'm a millennial, and I must have worked in 10 different work environments, never fired once. Skills are a must. Patience. Time management. Being able to work with other personalities. Willing to learn new skills. Communication skills are a must. I've seen people my age try to get jobs without knowing how to communicate, and couldn't even land an interview because of it. We live in a time where you can search for just about any self help video, from how to tie a tie, to how to land an interview, to interview etiquette. It's all out there. I'm just gonna come out and say people have to get over working a job they don't want to work. It's gonna happen, and sometimes for years it's most likely gonna be your only option. Work on being persistently consistent. When you see an opening for a better position in a new work environment, leave your current job the right way by giving two week's notice, of course only if that's how your employer works. Some just let you go upon realization.

I was on a Southwest flight 2 days ago and literally the captain came over the speaker and asked if there was a doctor or nurse on board and my mind IMMEDIATELY went to this bit in this sketch 😂😂😂 I never thought I’d experience something like that. They had to get an AED out and everything and the medics and fire department met the plane at the tarmac when we arrived. 🫠 wild times 😂 love you John!

I know some people think ADHD and ADD aren’t real but it’s a real neurological condition, and the kids that had it are adults now, including me! And it makes a lot of things including employment harder! I also have debilitating chronic fatigue and pain. But I’ve been successful as a freelancer since 2018 so I’m not making excuses, just asking for empathy and understanding for the increasing population of ppl with ADD or autism. And it’s due to neurotoxins, including aluminum, especially from a controversial source. Some ppl genetically can’t detox as well as others.

I hire millennials where I work. There's a couple of tricks- 1) Eliminate anyone that has personal pronouns on their resume. 2) Don't hire college grads, they are insufferable. 3) Check their faceypages to eliminate whiny crybabies, and 4) I hire through a contracting agency so they can pre-screen them and ask questions I can't ask. Contract-to-hire gives you 3 months to find out if they will work.

I hear what youre saying but agree with the other comments that I think you're referring to the gen after that. My DD is on the line between the two and has a college degree and is awesome. She worked hard, put her way through for the most part, she cares about people, has a super emotional IQ to figure out the situation at hand, and can make any drink just about you can think of since she has been a barista and bar tender to pay her way through. Don't put everyone together in a pile. She was a manager at 22 and couldn't get anyone younger than her to work much. They needed a break after a few minutes on the floor of Starbucks. She worked hours upon hours fixing people's orders when they were mad that something didn't taste right😳 ironic, her first job was CFA as well. It got her the job at Srarbucks because they were like you get such good training there we won't even give you the standard second interview. Good hire. She lasted more than 6 years. Like he said, you have to want something bad enough to get out there and work. She wanted a car and a newer phone. And to travel. So pretty good advice IMO.

Advice, from a fellow “millennial” born in 87’. Simple. Show up on time and try. That’s it. By on time I mean at least 15 minutes early, if you don’t know just ask, your box will start small, but with time you’ll be able to do any task at whatever your job is with ease and your box will be large. Stay in your box and be patient. Grow thick skin, it ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. Also check the ego at the door, you can’t learn if you already know everything lol, and you’ll never know everything. Trade schools or apprenticeship programs are a perfectly fine alternative to college. College isn’t meant to be for everyone, but if you go to college don’t expect to get the top paying job just because you’re “educated” be willing to work for what you have. You’ll feel a lot more self worth if you earn it. My “boomer” parents taught me the value of hard work and trying hard, learning how to lose so you can learn how to win! Also America is so great that even people who hate it refuse to leave! God bless!

Lots of Millennial friends I know who worked since high school and rose to ranks lost their jobs during the pandemic and have to start over yet that's called being lazy when it wasn't their fault. Its the looking down upon from elder generations that are suppose to be supportive knowing they ARE NOT perfect by a long shot. I hold that Millennials are the strongest most compromising generation there is.

@@chasecorry2645 right, and 13 States immediately banned the procedure, with about 10 more looking at restrictive measures...the idea of a federal right is that a woman can go anywhere or her home state to get a medical procedure done.I wonder how many men would get all righteous if we said we want to get rid of Viagra or anything that deals with Erectile Dysfunction. Congrats, in almost half the States of the Union, we've lowered women to the status of an incubator
