The first time I visited there was in 1979 and it still keeps growing! You was saying about women banned from the pub, in Hull one of the oldest pubs banned women until late 60’s or early 70’s. The Ye Old White Hearte.

@@GabyStarbuckx Nowadays it’s unbelievable but I can remember pubs having a off-licence attached to them so the wife’s could get a jug of beer 🍺 for themselves and the husband. Hull was one of the biggest fishing ports and it was work hard and drink hard.

@@GabyStarbuckx They used to be a very fun place in Chatham called dickens world, it open up in 2007 they made to look like Charles Dickens time so people can smell what it was like and they had school room with a school teacher and had places of Oliver and Christmas carol, they even a boat ride but you get wet. There was also a Ballpark room for the kids. I remember one of the who was playing her roll told me I bet you taken your shoes off also there were lots of acting going on around, if feel like I step back in time. When I went back there for my 2nd visit it wasn't really the same and it got closed down in 2016.
