I like Anthropology, but I love ❤️ Free People!

They can have good deals with extra 40- 50% off. Not long ago i got 2 dress that were almost 200 dollars each for 60 plus tax for both! You have to keep an eye on markdowns!🦋

I've been wearing both brands for many years, but as I've gotten older, I'm buying more Anthropologie. In my opinion, it's just more elegant and upscale. I tend to buy Anthropologie for dressier items and Free People for casual items. There's room in my closet for both.

I love anthropology because it’s for young women and teens as well and for older women too and they seem to have more deals than free people but at free people they also have good deals as well but not as much as anthropology but it’s still worth shopping cuz if you go to places like clothes mentor, you’ll find used and gentle clothing that cost more than new clothes on clearance that they have at free people and anthropology.

Anthropologie I feel can be for both mom and daughters or younger and older women. I think their pricing can be outrageous but there sales can kind of make up for it. Whenever I go into free people, I feel like I’m the oldest person in there. But I love both.

I looked at their sale items but nothing jumped out at me. I'm usually older than a lot of people that I see when I'm shopping but that doesn't bother me. I just enjoy the music, clothes and the experience 💜

I'm 56 and I feel the same when I'm in free people(I just started shopping there). But the clothes are my vibe. They're pricey but I am at the point in my life.... let me get what I want and not alot of what I don't want. I always chuckle when young I mean young girls(high school and sometimes elementary) says, "I love your outfit" and they just keep staring at me🤣 One day I had on this cute outfit and this younger lady kept mean mugging me(we both were wearing similar outfit), I just wanted to blurt out so bad.... "Hey... don't get mad at me because I'm working mines better!🤣🤣.... I was way curvy than her and alot more pounds🤣🤣🤣 Free people is not for alot of my friends.... but those clothes are for me big time!!!

I love Anthropologie and Altar'd State ❤

It was a pretty store and I got a lot of cool style ideas for sure!

Its funny how you think anthro was pricey. I feel the same about free people. I see some amazing stuff in their and and I am look good lord. I do like the free people sale section if you can get anything in your size. Anthro sale section in the back of the store is probably the best value and even more so when its 40 or 50 percent off.

I am a great hunter for FP on sale. I thrift a lot and I know what stores have great sales. If and when I do go into a FP store I might walk out with 1 thing as a treat. I still think Anthropologie made FP look like a bargain! 😂

Anthropologie, Free People and Urban Outfitters are all from the same company. I feel like it’s a small, medium, large kinda thing. Urban Outfitters being the cheapest (smal), Free People still somewhat affordable (medium) and Anthropologie the most expensive (large). Also UO seems to cater more to the younger people, Free People is more 30s-40s and Anthropologie for older women but still cute and fashionable.

On line seems better. I can't believe you weren't approached by sales! Bad busness.

They are basically the same company. They are sister companies. I can't afford either unless it's thrifted or a major sale in store. You can never buy anything online because it's always sold out.

I thrift a lot of FP but I also find it at The Rack and Marshalls. We have a cool resale shop in my town and they have a great selection. I love the fact that even their older pieces are still cute!

Maybe you didn't know this but Urban Outfitters (URBN) owns both Free People and Anthropologie. I think all three stores have a similar vibe and are all expensive. I happen to love Anthropologie, and I am in my 70s. I typically purchase items when they are on sale or when I can get a discount.
