COME SEE WHO'S PREGNANT!! (Ultrasounding sheep): Vlog 229

Ultrasounding sheep for pregnancies today and WOW!! What a great scan!
Ruby surprised us with twins, and someone else we love also had a sweet surprise!!
We ultrasound sheep so we know what to expect in good time before they lamb. We can feed them better, or even skip them over to the next group to be exposed. This is way more efficient than keep ewes on the program for 5 months before then realizing they are not pregnant.
#sheep #ultrasound #pregnancy

Since Ruby and Goat are pregnant I think a fun video 'series' would be watching their lambs be born and then watching them grow until they're market ready! It'd be fun to watch them grow!

Since you have WiFi in the barn, would you consider allowing people to donate for camera equipment to host a live stream of the ewes/lambs? I'm sure a lot of people would be very interested! "50 ducks in a hot tub" is a duck farmer in Ontario that does this (and he donates the eggs to homeless shelters!) On a side note, lambs would be the best birthday present ever! Can't wait to see the Apr babies!

But I disagree on one point - you said it hasn’t been a bad winter - did you forget the freakin’ roof blew off of your barn?!!! It’s a testament to your mad skill and the fantastic care you take of your flock that they all look so beautiful now that this lambing group is done!!! You are AMAZING Sandi!!! 😃🤩

I absolutely adore your personality. Thank you for sharing your life & letting those of us so ignorant to this world enjoy it through you & your family! It may sound crazy, but I would love nothing more than to bring my daughter to a farm like yours, work & live for a while; learning, enjoying, experiencing something we never have. I’m 51 & I’ve been raised in the city my entire life. A city I’ve always been desperate to leave & move to the country, but haven’t done so only because of not wanting to be far away from my parents & in my state, I would have to move hours away to live a country life. It’s been a life-long dream, unrealized, but can always dream & maybe, someday, I’ll actually be able to bring my dream to live, or at the minimum, form a bond & build a friendship with someone who has a farm so that my daughter & I can come work on their farm & experience the life. And yes, working on a farm like yours would be a dream come true. I understand it’s hard work and I’m certainly not afraid of that; especially to earn the opportunity to be out in the country, away from the city & breathing fresh beautiful air with no cars, no traffic and city noises to be heard. I’m sure you know how fortunate you are, but if not, I’ll let you know how envious I am of you. Wishing you & your family all the best. God bless you all & may you have a Happy Easter and the year ahead be filled with much blessings, good health & happiness! Much love, Shelbie =)❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🐑🐑🐑🐑

Hi Sandy, I've asked this before but I believe that you are viewing your comments more so lately. It would be a great viewing stress reliever for people watching your channel for you to do this. I am sure that you have all the footage of your videos. If you should take segments of the past videos where the lambs are running jumping, climbing on mom and all the adorable things they do and join them together as a video. You always took a few seconds to show the little ones playing. Having such a video to come back to every time I feel stressed would mean so much to me and I am sure others too. Hello from Nova Scotia I have watched a number of your videos, and find them very educational. A friend of mine used to have sheep here, and was also a lobster fisherman, he died 10 years ago from brain cancer. But he used to put them on an island here off the SW tip of NS, and they would stay there for a set amount of time. I remember him telling me about bringing the Rams down when it was time for breeding. He told me the Rams would get so excited, you would have to watch them, or they would jump overboard, and if you could not get to them right away, with a rope, they would sink and drown.

Good afternoon Sandi. I have thought up a few questions from today's video 1. Since 9 ewes are going to market will you keep 9 ewes from the December babies to recover from the loss.? 2. Do you ever keep any Rams from the babies? 3. When the babies are playing and when they mount other babies is that showing dominance? 4. Last question do the babies still try and snuggle up on top of the mothers to sleep/nap? Love all that you share with us and teach us all over the world.

Chocolate addiction possible solution for you ;-). Make your own "fat bombs" - lots of recipes on KZread channels for KETO folk to use. I typically use equal parts coconut oil and crunch peanut butter - then I add coco powder and stevia (Greeniche is a good brand - no after taste). You could add some peppermint, since you like mint oreos ;-}}. I freeze mine in a flexible candy tray and just keep it in a container in the freezer. Just a thought. Many thanks for your great channel. Your love for your sheep shines through. It's wonderful to think that these sheep are being loved and looked after SO WELL. Cheers

Love your videos! Just went to pick up meat from a local farmer. He said his wife has learned so much from you. They raise sheep, cattle and pigs. He gave us some mutton to try.

Have you thought about having a live cam? I love your channel, it’s the perfect combination of you as our host, nature, and the adorable lambs! A live cam would just let us get a little fix in between your vlogs.

omg at first I thought..when did Sandi start chewing tobacco..then it was like omg Sandi needs to get some space heaters in there because her mouth is frozen..then I felt guilty that I have not done a sugar cleanse either...so shock, empathy, and guilt all in the first few minutes..Well done Sandi..Well Done:)))

Thank you Sandi for your videos. I remember well the sheep herds in grazing in the Rocky mountains here. Please show us someone working with your dog in the barn. She acts like she wants to do more.
