Come Relax in My Tiny Tavern
Enough with all the warhammers and fireballs. Let's grab some friends, head to the tavern, and share a hearty meal. This is a nice little break from painting heroes, soldiers, and villains. I'm sure nothing evil is brewing in the basement.
All of the models in this video were sculpted by the fine folks at Titan Forge.

The model for mini-Brent is great. The grin, kittens, and fabulous hair evokes what Brent is all about
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only Pints
Great video Brent! 10 out of 10! 😂😛......for real though, classic goobertown 😻
Being English, this fantasy tavern looks suspiciously like my local pub . . . especially with those patrons. Love the vid, Brent!

Complete with basement cult!
Says a lot about DND when an inn has 3 wizards, a rogue, a mysterious stranger, an injured apprentice, a tiger and a yeti the guy carrying two cats stands out the most.
Little Girls: Pretend to have dolls drink tea. Grown Men: Pretend to have people argue about ice fishing as someone runs out of a tavern holding two cats while being chased by a tiger. The voices are mandatory, as is moving the miniatures/dolls up and down while you move them.
Mini-Brent is instantly recognisable, just from the thumbnail alone. Kudos to Titanforge! Also, well done to Brent on getting us all to spend nearly thirteen minutes watching a grown man play with toys (and love every minute).
5:00 I was expecting to hear that he took an arrow to the knee

8 months later I'd like to put in I am rewatching this one with an iced latte and a chocolate donut! Hope you've had many a croissant since mate.
The Brent minis is excellent; it really looks just like you. I imagine that he is actually a Beast Master Ranger, and that Snuffles and Gordon are his Animal Friends; possibly thrown at enemies in battle.
I always though Bar Flies should have higher constitution- that’s the one stat they’ve been working on after all!

An maybe average or slightly higher than average wisdom, of the "been there done that" variety.
I like how happy Brent looks playing with his minis, it's nice. It makes me sad that adults lose that magic of playing with toys. The reason I took up D&D is that it makes me feel like a kid playing with my toys, a happy kid. This video made me feel good. Thank you.
I can imagine the bartender being an easily offended old man; "What do you mean my ale tastes funny?!??" Loved this video's lightheartedness and the mandatory tap-tap of the figures hehe :) Have a nice day Brent xx
The mysterious figure in the green cloak is obviously the village dealer.
This video is the perfect example why you’re my favorite KZreadr. Just quality hobbying with a chill guy
I do the Titan Forge Patreon every month and they never disappoint. I really loved this offering. I hope they return to the town with maybe a shop or two, cultists and all.
Honestly, this kind of fantasy story telling is underrated. Fantastic video!
That is awesome! I especially like Jack, Walter, and Brent. It's also nice to know I'm not the only one who makes up stories about my minis when I am painting them.
🎶 "Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came You wanna be where you can see Our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows your name" 🎶
The brown contrast works really nicely for wood. I also like the more casual tone of the piece, far too many pieces are war based nowadays. Its a nice change.
I love how yohan makes his way into as many videos as possible
It was me. I stole Walter's rake, all those years ago. Love you Goobertown, something so pure and wholesome about this video.
One of the things I really like about this hobby is the potential for the crafted terrain to look good enough for green-screening actors into it. I'd like to make a tavern good enough for a short film. :)
Top tier model of Brent the Timid along with his cats!
This was one of the best releases by Titan Forge. Sometimes simple is best. It was weird to see a mini Brent appearing out of the resin in my printer, though.
Just when I think 2020 is winning, I get reminded that there are truly wholesome people in this world. When the world is on fire (figuratively and literally) it is refreshing to see you playing dollies with a home made tavern. Keep being spectacularly amazing, the world really needs people like you right now.
I love how you create a story for each of the characters you paint 😁👌🏻👌🏻
WHAT there is a littl brend mini °-°

@@frederikschulze8218 where's the one in this video?
Okay Brent... you are already the most wholesome painting channel I know of. How dare you make a video which is even MORE wholesome, colourful and character-driven?! Are you trying to hoard all of the wholesomeness of KZread at this point? Is THAT what is hidden underneath the bar? The entire village's supply of wholesomeness? We'll never know, because Kyle is a little too unsettling for me.
This is not video related but it is related to the hobby. I just got a bag of unknown to me miniatures and found in it a goblin riding a squig backwards, with his bottom hanging out. There. It is said. Best model ever.
A friend 3D printed me a innkeeper mini and I use it in a lot of games where I need a commoner or villager to rescue or to protect or just as a bystander. When I'll play d&d again I'll absolutely use it in every tavern the characters will go.
The normal people give the wars context and stakes! NPCs are so important
LOVE THE STORY THAT GOES ALONG WITH THIS VIDEO 😍
I was about to go to bed until i saw this was just uploaded..... sleep is over rated, right?
Having this video playing while I paint is so relaxing that I can’t describe how good it feels
just imagine a good old fashioned DnD campaign with Goober as your GM. I would do a lot, to be part of that campaign :) His voice is just like liquid- chocolate!
Ahhh... Just so relaxing watching A goodertown episode. Love the narration too, not just waffle but genuinely interesting to listen to. The tiny Brent complete with cats- just superb !
I love integrating that kind of scenery/minis in a skirmish fantasy game with house rules. It changes from the classic hack n slash!
“Brent is running for three” I love it. 😂
Awesome! A Scene far away from the usual Battle Scene, i Love IT! 😍. ... The Mini Brent... Wow!
I love me a mini that looks like they've got bills to pay and mugs to clean.
That blue/black rogue looks awesome
You showing me the zenithal highlight trick has probably made one of the biggest differences in my painting so far, it's amazing the result it can produce! I have been working almost solely on my sister's army over the last 2 months and the results it gives to their robes is fantastic! Thanks for your great videos, I always enjoy them and learn something in the process!
That is soooo cool. Great job painting the minis and tavern furniture. "pour me a mug o' brew". Great story. Loved seeing the roguish kid getting chased out by the bouncer every time he came back. Wow. even before you referred to the frightened villager as Brent (the timid), I thought he looked like our favorite painter.
I love commoners! They’re so much fun. Back in the day we always used Homies toys from quarter vending machines to stand in for commoners.
Ha! That Brent mini is tops. I love the expression. Though he's a bit more balding than the gloriously coiffed inspiration.
I have a box full of just tavern folks. Not enough patrons for the taverns though. I will now. Thank you, Brent!
So happy with the quality Titanforge keeps pumping out, month after month! This was one of my favorite sets. I need more Dark Mysteries!
Beautiful video! Don't know what i like the best: the paint job or the stories you created in this scenari. Congrats, your channel ir awesome!!
Brent the Timid! Legend!
The Bob Ross of miniatures. ❤
I love that Brent has an assortment of self insert minis to work with
I'm not going to lie...I love watching you "play" with the minis. My wife and dnd group laugh at me because that's how I come up with my game concepts. I put minis on my battlemat, start adding scatter terrain, and "play". It helps me come up with concepts in a lighthearted, less stressful manner so I have a game ready for the weekend. Haha whatever helps unlock the creativity right?!?
I have seen a lot of crafters argue against making an inn/tavern/pub set piece for some reason or other. Usually it boils down to them not feeling they get used enough to warrant the investment but I totally disagree , they can be one of the most used sets in your entire collection and a great addition to any game. It really ups the use of them if the players use the tavern as their home base of operations, or even if they end up owning the establishment. In one of my campaigns I had my players take possession fairly quickly of an inn in their careers, this brought endless amounts of side quests for them to take up to keep it running and increase their profits. I remember one of the first tiein quests was the cook was retiring so the team had accompany him back to his home village where one of his siblings a fellow master cook could take his place ( the village having it's own issues to be resolved before the new cook could be hired). I introduced several rival establishments , a couple that would carry their hostility out in the open. Other side quests were procurement of various items and foodstuffs to keep the inn going. In the end these subplots started to overshadow the main quests and I adapted my campaign to what my players were having the most fun with , who would have thought they would rather burn down a hostile rivals bar then go after a dragon hoard?
"Jack and Walter reminisce about the time Jack hid a fish in Walter's cart and the entire town population of cats followed him for weeks. Walter quips that he still got the girl in the end, despite Jack's meddling."
I love the Brent! I do hope there's a later model of him and Johan sitting down and looking considerably less stressed as they become the best of friends after running from the same monster for so long. "How long have you been running?" "Oh, a few days now... I like your cats!" "Thank you, they give me strength! I'm Brent" "I'm Johan, I know a tavern about 3 hours away we could run to if you want a drink to settle the nerves? Pet friendly of course" "Perfect, lead the way!"
This video is just pure, unadulterated joy and I am so here for it! Thank you Brent.
Thank you for another calm and inspirational upload, the narrative you added is awesome! You always bring a sense of relaxation and motivation to my own hobby efforts. I absolutely love the "Brent" Mini... I think that was an upload before I subscribed (Please link the video, if possible?). Keep up the good work, Brent.

The Brent mini is from this video! It is a release from the same 3D printing set that all the bar minis came from for this video.
I love the Brent mini.
The tavern and the miniatures look great and it's nice to see you using the ghost tints. I'm a big fan of those paints, especially plasma fluid
One of the things I always liked about WHFRP (back in 1st, anyway) was that your characters are - at least to begin with - explicitily average. You've got room left over in your hand when you're counting your money, eveything you own is either worn or in a backpack or a sack (unless you rolled very lucky on creation, and no GM I know would unquestioningly accept that you rolled up a noble when they weren't looking), and chances are you won't ever notice the sword you nicked off the corpse in the woods is cursed until it starts talking to you in your dreams.
I felt in love with the rogue scheme, and OMG i want a Brent Miniature for a campaign!
"big warrior brush"
Grats on being immortalized in miniature! I can't think of anyone more deserving. Your videos are calming, and great! Thank you for what you do.
Man, you get your own mini?? Damn, lucky!!
You have surpassed expected levels of wholesomeness with this one!
Brent, this is fantastic! Once again you've hit the nail on the head. This inspires me to go do the hobby I love-thank you!
I love the way this whole scene turned out. I also really like that mysterious stranger sculpt, he has a really cool vibe going on.
😂 This really reminds me of how I played with toys when I was little.
I use baking wax paper when I paint, print, etc. This way, your over sprays hit the inexpensive wax paper and not anything else. I recently picked up this very set and I am currently printing the minis but have reservations, at least for now, on printing the tavern itself as IDK exactly how much resin will be necessary to print. So I think I'll wait until I got a few bottles to spare. Which brings up my next point on a video, no one seems to be doing but I, as well as many others would like to see. A video illustrating different buildings from different studios and how much resin necessary for the make of the building. Love your vids, keep em coming.
now I need that running Brent mini :D
This is so charming. Your joy is contagious. I hope you have someone/thing in your life that cheers you up as much as you cheer everyone else up.
This man has been DYING to paint townsfolk.
Probably my favourite goobertown video
Wonderful work! I gotta wonder how many times our bar flies have passed up the opportunity to join the cult for another pint
Yeah, I know I said it in a previous video, but that Brent figure really is great. I keep getting misprints with mine for some reason, but I'll keep working at it until it comes out... an adventure I'm going to be doing calls for a few survivors from an attacked village and he'll be perfect as one.
Love the running Brent mini.
I just ordered this printer, which will arrive this weekend. Now I'm even more hyped! Thanks Goobs!
Really good change up. Thanks Mr B :) Keep the brushes tight and the paint flowing 🤙👍
That was great Brent! The figures and painting look really good and you have some neat ideas . The miniature of you was really cool and this diorama was filled with interesting characters. Thanks for sharing this.
Hello. What nobody notices amonst the noise and activity of the bar is that Jack and Walter are drinking milk and they are the ones discretely running the show. A blink of an eye may tell the bouncer to let someone in or tell the barman no credit for that guy. Of course the weapons hidden under the table are only for emergencies. Brent is actually chasing the other running guy because he refuses to adopt a kitten. A battle is a battle but scenes like this lend to far more story telling and imagination. At least in my opinion. All the best.
Amazing! Absolutely love the tavern scene and all the flavor and lore it already has imbued in it. Look forward to many an instagram post updating us on what's going on in "The Three Goobers Tavern and Inn". So great the folks at Titan Forge created a Brent mini! I've been trying to decide which of the subscription based 3D printing services to pick up (titan forge, LOOT, etc.). This may have pushed Titan Forge over the top!
metal in the bases, thin plascard to attach the tiles to and then a magnet to move your peoples . . .
WOW!
Your videos and voice are so relaxing that you almost always take pounds of weight off my shoulders every time I watch. Thank you for creating content.
Great video Brent!!! Your voice and demeanor help put me at ease and forget about all the stressful crap going on right now. Thanks!!!
I just cannot seem to get away from you. I even have miniature's with your face. A man running for his life, possibly from the big Goober Yeti behind him.
The Minitaire Plasma Blue is lovely. I think it's my favorite, though I haven't used them all yet. And man, that bartender looks like Andy Serkis, at least while you were painting him.
HAHAHA This is a wonderful video... I love the BRENT figure!!!
I watch a video from. Your channel every ight before bed... It's so positive and uplifting and always makes me feel better if maybe I had a long day at work or the paint job on one of my minis wasn't turning out how I wanted it. Thank you Brent for creating goober town and being who you are
I loved that set of minis
As someone new to the hobby, I really love this video. I hope I have as much fun as you do.
Your videos have given me the confidence to start painting my first minis. New lockdown hobby.
i really thought you were going to say: "This is Kyle, he used to be an adventurer but then he took an arrow to the knee" :P

That Tiny Brent reveal. ::chef's kiss::
Thank you! Nice minis and a entertaining story told by a soothing voice - a classic Brent.
fantastic set, it will really fill a need in the minis out there. And the Brent and cats mini is an instant classic. Love it!
Jack and Walter are the best characters
I guess I don't need to do my homework juuuuuust yet. I can squeeze this in as a last hurrah and feel great
This was a fun one, I love making stuff like this for DnD campaigns. I'm actually working on a tavern right now, but the actual building, not the inside. May have to do an interior someday
