Hiya Mike. You are a happy looking man in your new Scania. It is a lovely motor and health to drive. Just be careful when you are turning down a sharp steep hill that the tag axle mudguards don't catch on the chassis of the trailer and rip them off.

You can't beat a tag axle for manouvering in tight spots so long as it will raise if your heavily loaded, just be aware of getting the rear wings and truck chassis snarled up on the trailer neck/chassis , plus the tag axle protrudes out alot more when reversing into tight spots, its easy to smash trucks tail lights,. which company owned the scania previously ?,.a&m have some nice trucks,. Do you go to storalls on the iom ? my old firm used to have the bales of shredded paper from them,. bit like a load of confetti in baled form,. No nights out on iom trucking i guess, or trips to the mainland ?, the last time i was on the island was 2019 for the classic manx gp, been over 5 times in all, 1st time 75 to watch the manx gp, next 3 years (76/77/78) to compete in lightweight manx gp and lastly 19 with my eldest son on the bikes, perfect weather and great atmosphere and a smooth crossing to and from liverpool on the mannanan,. truly a magical place is the isle of man,. i would like another trip now i'm retired from hgv uk/euro after 52 years, now nearly 70y/o !,.

Good man...The cost for anyone to get here is loopy....We do quite a few trailers a month of bailed paper and cardboard from the recycling centres ...( None from storalls) The TT is on again soon and the app called TT+ you can watch the racing and commentary live with onboard footage etc etc ... I have had it a week now and definitely delighted with it...She weighs 9,440kgs so has a lot of presence on the road and pulls the trailers quite easily as a rolling mass type of thing...Have a great day ahead and treat yourself to something nice today.. cheers 🥂

I always found the steering in DAF's too heavy. When I drive Scania or Volvo, it's much lighter. Great for tight city work.
