I'm 17 and its December. I started listening to her a year ago when I was 16. Lorde is so special and sadly people don't pay enough attention to her. Basically, shes the best and expresses the true meaning of being a teenager. 2020 has been alot and hopefully 2021 and the rest of the years to come will be better.

every single Lorde song reminds me of a friend of mine. she introduced me most of the songs and it feels like they're a part of her now. whenever I listen to a song by Lorde it makes me think of my friend immediately. we've been talking less now because our schedules are always too busy and we're never free at the same time. I miss her deeply. listening to Lorde makes me nostalgic, a beuatiful bittersweet feeling that takes me back to the year we met and reminds me our friendship can survive anything we have to go through. it makes me calm. this mashup really belongs in my heart.

Melodrama or pure heroine? Me:

I remember discovering this masterpiece of a mashup in my sophomore or junior year of high school and I would play it religiously when we were allowed to listen to music while doing work in class. Although my favorite time listening to this was during the winter and the summer. Now I’m turning 21 in two days and my god this song now hits even more different as it opens memory cores. It’s hard to explain what I’m feeling rn but it’s like my inner child is starting to walk, my toddler years starting to run, and my teen years going faster as I morph into the person I am today.
