i don't know how this video has got so many views recently haha i really appreciate the love towards this video i had so much fun making it, i was 19 just about to turn 20 when i made this and was looking back on my teenage years and the media that i had connected with at the time, i'm 23 now and this video makes me feel happy nostalgia towards my teenage years which i think i tried to encapsulate in this compilation, but my real life and the stories portrayed in these amazing films aren't all joy, so much of young adult life is tumultuous and hard. seeing comments of people saying they are sad they didn't have this exciting teen life, please know that nobody has a perfect, fun time full of parties every week. life is not like that and neither do these films portray that either, but looking back on your younger age you only really look back on the joyful beautiful moments, amongst the uncertainty and angst, which i hope this video represents and you can experience too

i grew up on coming of age movies and for some reason, I thought i was gonna have a life like this someday. now I'm just sitting and crying and it feels like I've wasted my teenage years being too anxious to talk to anyone. there's nothing i'll look back at and wish to live again.

Melodrama was released when I was 17 years old and since then each track has become part of my personality. Perfect Places has always been one of my favorites, the perfect ending to the album and also to my nights. This song said things to me at 17 and today at 21 I live these things. Perfect Places gives me the same feeling of joy coming home at dawn, seeing my friends at the bar, having a picnic at sunset. I think it's only now, after becoming an adult, that I understand what these perfect places are.

I really wish i could have this kind of teenage..i'm 18 and all i got the past years is anxiety,trauma and stress, don't really have Friends i can escape to..feeling crowded at my house..when i get out is just cold and dangerous but we still do have Time to make it better for ourseleves in the future We Can romanticise, find our own hapiness and selves if you're Reading this..you'll be just fine, don't you worry..better days are coming

I'm not very good at it...I am not very smart and can't remember or figure out to say all the right words at the right times...but I have to try!!! If your teenage years looked nothing like this, I want to tell you that IT'S OKAY. Please don’t waste time wishing you could go back and fantasize about the past. Like doesn't end when you turn 20. If you want these experiences, you can still have them. If I had the choice, I wouldn't want to be a teen again. I was so self-conscious and scared, but as you get older, you become more sure of yourself. Don’t wish to change the past. Just use what you've learned to change the now.
