COME HIGHLIGHT AT THE SALON WITH ME! //Wholy hair

Фильм және анимация

Hey beauties! I do tons of highlights at my salon, it's what I specialize in and also what I love to do most! Blondes are my favorite!! I'm so excited to share this video with you, I'm going to be walking through 3 different clients highlights, showing you how I section, foil, tone, and everything in between! My go-to lightener is Schwarzkopf Blondeme and I always use Olaplex in all my lightening formulas to ensure there is no damage. Feel free to comment with any questions :)

    Hi! Thinking about getting my hair foiled but very nervous. When you’re putting the bleach on at first by the time you get to the end the bleach you put on first has been sitting on the hair much longer. What keeps it from not breaking off and having the very end of what you did match the very beginning of what you did? I really hope somebody can answer this question. It seems to me that the bleach would sit on the very first part way too long. Thank you!

    Not familiar with shades EQ. Is that a plain toner no ammonia? Beautiful. May I ask what advice you to make the bleach/highlight in foil not blotchy especially when the client does color their own hair at home? Cannot tell how many layer of different dark color she had applied on her hair? Thank you for your expert advice.

    Do you ever shadow root or do a smudge root, I feel like I have to do that every time because of the raw /Harsh look. I guess the key is, to take the thinnest sections as possible & your trick with the foil on placing it down & tighten the hair as you do that is a great tip.

  • @WholyHair

    @WholyHair

    taking thin sections definitely helps with any lines, also toning helps to soften the highlights! I don’t always do a root shadow but sometimes I do, it depends on what the client wants and what their natural level is 💗

    So please please PLEEEEEASE answer this question .. my hair is very long and I’ve recently achieved the perfect blonde w pravana purple shampoo. Worked wonders no more yellow. I had a highlight done and had a toner added to my hair and it was purple. Not a lovely purple but a dingy grey toned shitty ugly ass purple. I was furious. I researched and found that if the hair is already cool toner whitish blonde, it can’t tone anymore and will just keep the color of the toner. So then when I got a highlight the next time my roots are the typical yellow blonde and the rest of my hair is still cool tones perfect light blonde (I got the purple out eventually) so what do I do? I can’t tone my hair cause of lack of pigment in it and each new highlight is yellow..I’m at a loss

  • @WholyHair

    @WholyHair

    platinum blonde is the hardest! and when you get your hair super icy on the ends touch ups can be tricky to perfectly match, I would alternate with regular shampoo in between the purple so that it can balance out a bit. clarifying shampoo can remove some of the dingy toner, but it should naturally fade over time!

  • @snorky776

    @snorky776

    2 жыл бұрын

    The majority of clients want brightness around the face, plus when considering where the sun hits naturally, it’s gonna hit the very surface of the hair versus what’s underneath. So it’s best to focus more along the front and sides of the head rather than on the areas that are either gonna be hidden or camouflaged to much. You still want to highlight those areas, but full concentration isn’t really needed or necessary. That being said, the reason we were taught to start in the back is bc that’s where the majority of the hair is. It takes longer to foil the back than the front and sides.

    @@mazzystar5342 I section like I normally would for a full. And it really depends on the client’s overall desired outcome tbh. I know I bounce between the front, sides, and back for my clients based on how much brightness they want to see towards the front of their head. That being said, I’d say it’s probably better to start at the front and sides since it will be brightest and won’t take long to process… while the back can be a bit more spaced out in a brick lay pattern to give the dimension and depth where it’s needed most. I hope it’s making sense! 😂
