Come fly with me as I fight 19 knot winds aloft.

SkySight was wrong! The Buoyancy/Shear (B/S) ratio was supposed to be a "5-6" but I think it was more like "3/4". I had an extremely difficult time centering the broken thermals. The ASW27 wings really need stronger thermals, and I only saw 0.2 to 0.5 knot climbs. This thermal strength simply isn't enough to keep me aloft for very long. I released at 2500 AGL, and never made it any higher than that height. Skew-T calculations indicated lift would max out around 3500' MSL. Lighter club ships did perform better than me, but their wing loading was much better than my setup. Better weather is coming when Spring arrives. I'll just have to hang tight and keep trying.

I’m a student pilot at ACENT I saw you setting up but didn’t get to see the TO. Great video. I’d like to see a tow/glider departure.
