She had a training video of a 3/2 twist to double layout. I was thinking she was looking to upgrade the DLO to a Biles and add a punch front. It would be almost a nod to Aly's first pass. RO-3/2 Twist-RO-BHS-Biles-FLO G + 0.4 = Worth a K 😳

@@kurtgriffin4163 she still got a bronze and a silver this time … clearly brought more value than all the American Olympians who didn’t bring home even one. She did nothing wrong by pulling out of events she knew she couldn’t compete in safely.

@@kurtgriffin4163 Her doctor literally said not to. It's not like she knew she was going to get the twisties. She didn't just quit, she would have competed if it was medically possible. Bear in mind that USAG is really trying to sweep their disgusting enabling of Larry Nassar under the rug and Simone felt responsibility as the last competing survivor.

Honestly I wish she keeps/ brings back the Biles+punch front (layout) and replace the full in pass with the full in layout combo. Imo she could get a higher e score out of that because her layout form is cleaner than the tucked form but on the other hand she'll probably compete the triple double and yurchenko double piked so I would keep it that way because the one thing that definitely shouldn't happen is her getting injured. Sport is hard and (way too many) people pay with their health.

I know that this would never happen in competition, but I remember seeing her train the back 3/2 to double layout on floor and the double layout to double tuck on rod floor and I wanted to see a video of her trying to connect all of that lol. Again, not in competition, but in practice, just because she probably could do a 3/2 step out double layout punch double tuck…

I don’t think she has enough room / power to do the 1 1/2 through to double layout to double tuck at all once, I would actually be intrigued if she did just a single back tuck after the double layout so I can reminisce myzdrikova triple twist punch back tuck cause nobody ever punches out of any of their tumbling passes to a back tuck except her

I've been looking for a move I don't know if it exists or not and I'm not sure what the technical terms would be but here it goes.. you are swinging forward or even backward on the high bar towards the low bar. The person swings OVER the high bar going to connect to the low bar. I can't find it. I know it may be physically difficult due to well... physics but I think it'd be possible if you'd get the downward angle just right as you're leaving the high bar from the overhead part. Does that make sense? What would this be and is it a thing but just not done because of its complexity and dangerous maneuver?

Well In a way it does encourage gymnast to master the skill properly because punching immediately into a leap / jump isn’t as easy as it seems because you really need to land really centred to do it but yeah they kinda did somewhat put a stop to it by limiting it to only being allowed for one pass per routine
