Combat Assassin Flying Wing RC Build Video

Спорт

Build video for the Assassins we do combat in GMAC as per Graeme Anderson's build method, since he's the most experienced when it comes to building these things. Note this build includes Graeme's Motor Mount Assembly which uses 3mm Aluminium for the motor and 6mm Ply for the base of the airframe.
Massive thanks to Graeme for sharing his wisdom with us! You can visit his KZread Channel here:‪@OhGAAH‬
Will add any necessary links and files here once available.
This link includes the Wingtips Designed by both Graeme and Paul. Graeme's version have added support, where as Paul's versions don't as they're printed on the BambuLab with AMS and allow you to print text and logos on them
www.thingiverse.com/thing:633...
I'll add a link to Graeme's versions also since the PLA Wing tip idea was his!
Kits are available through Crash Test Hobbies (Not Sponsored etc)
This is the 3 Pack but can be purchased individually
www.crashtesthobby.com/assass...
For motors we're using FPV Drone Motors 5" type, ie F40 / F60 T-Motor and balance the KV to the battery choice. In this instance I'm using 2400-2600kv on 4S
Props we're using Triblade 5" Drone Racing props, any will do.
ESC we're using drone ESCs but then also using a BEC to supply the correct voltage to the electronics (Receiver, Servos etc)

A group of us all bought the assassin and the same power systems and had a blast. It was my first combat experience. Its odd how you can midair unintentionally very easily but when you try to, it's very hard. The Assassin is nearly unbreakable.

We've been flying them for a while now, just for combat and it's been so much fun. But yes 100% getting back into wings again for FPV too. Absolutely a massive fan buddy 😍

I would like to see more on this. I think you underestimate how popular wings are becoming. Especially FPV wings. Our whole group has built them in the last year. We even have a smart guy who spent the last 6 months working on custom combat software for FPV wings. I refer to it like a old Contra video game, it will display machine guns and rockets (kind and amount) how many hits given/taken, will "stutter" motor and servos on a hit, and includes "ground support vehicles" for the guys with RC trucks to set up as SAM sites to shoot at planes. I think so many people are just tired of quads and looking for something different that still offers the same adrenaline rush. Wings are where its at!!

Crash test hobby’s was Shelby Voll’s first wing 🪽 build I believe 🤔always nice to have a durable wing to fly. Especially if you are chasing and doing aerobatics with it.

They're awesome and value for fun factor, you honestly can't beat these. Not a great comparison but I feel like I have more fun with the assassin wings than my viper (which I do love) kzread.info/dash/bejne/oqpttKSaqcnLks4.html

OMG I totally forgot about mentioning that! I'll get the file up on Thingiverse. Graeme came up with the idea of using PLA printed at about 1mm thick and it's worked a treat. Before that he was making the wingtips using Balsa Wood however PLA seems to work really good and at 1mm is super flexible. I'll get those files up on thingiverse today and link both the ones I use and what Graeme uses
