Also MIB 2 can be fitted, a video of fitting MIB2 unit into a car with factory fitted MIB1 unit will follow in a few days...

Hello! I've replaced the Continental MIB Entry player on my Octavia 3 from 2015 with another one, almost the same model but with CD, SD and BT. The problem is I can't use it since the volume is blocked on mute by some security feature that allows only players that are registered with this car. Can you tell me what should i adapt/code in order for it to work? Thanks!

Question If I bought an amundsen Fascia and the glove box unit would I be able to replace my bolero with it and get Nav, I’m guessing I’d need a GPS aerial for it. How easy are these to get coded to a car that hasn’t had them originally

You need a removal tool/clip. Every car audio retrofitter has it.

Going to be adding this new system to my car soon. What do you mean by suitable coding is it on the settings on the mib 2 ?

No, the unit needs to be unlocked and recoded to the car via diagnostic equipment.

How did you activate Navigation on that car.? I have Coumbus MIb2,, i had Bolero before. Tks

Display is only a display. You need to replace the base unit in the glovebox.

Is it possible to replace only the screen of an admusen system with the screen from a columbus system, and keep the same amundsen unit in the glove box compartment?

Amundsen Mib 1 has 400×200 resolution, Columbus has 800×400. On Mib 2 the resolution is 800×400 on both, so it works only on Mib 2...

Tryed fitting the Ariel one into the back of the Columbus but it isn’t fitting is there another connector I need

FAKRA-F will be the correct connector for GPS.

OEM antenna will be ok, regarding coding: sorry, but this video channel is intended for our customers to see the new functionality that we can enable and not to give the instructions for coding. Thank you for your understanding.

Columbus has internal HDD, where the maps are saved.

10GB for user data and the rest is reserved for navigation data.

Is it really this easy? Don't you have to change the "brain" unit which is placed in the glove box?

GPS antenna is external and has to be mounted separately..,
