The “fake round” molded on the follower is present on actual magazines. It allows the rounds to stack properly. That magazine looks surprisingly similar to an actual AR mag.

For anyone owning this, it’s important to regularly check the main case screw accessed by removing the rear grip, if it comes loose it can crack the casing when fired, it’s worth adding a bit of loctite. Other than that it’s a great replica & very accurate for the price.

I salute your patriotism Andy. Well said, Sir.

I bought one when they were originally released a few years ago & it's always been around the 11ftlb Mark, and there's a grub screw on the flash hider that allows it to be removed & a silencer fitted
Hi Andy first off i would like to thank you for all your reviews, I am quite new to the sport ,just over a year now and i have taken everything on board from your videos. And i must say i love them ,me and the lads watch your reviews every Friday in our tea break. you have got two of us shooting again both with our home plinking ranges .When i was a child i got my first air rifle and pistol at the grand old age of 10 .Now ime 63 i can afford a bit better lol. Another great review. Thank you.
looks great Andy, thanks for the review.
I just love your responses to nutty troll comments. That's just another plus for why I subbed besides being the better of all airgun channels out right now.
There is a little grub screw on that muzzle flash that comes off to reveal a threaded barrel.
Good video. We have done our testing of the Umarex M4 and can add that the Flash Hider can be released by a grub screw then unscrewed to reveal a 14mm CCW Thread. ours dieseled as practically all Springers and has settled down nicely.

Worth it as a plinker or small crittergitter. I have my opinion on pellet guns looking like military weapons though. I wonder if that is necessary or wise at times but that's another subject. I think the fake magazines would be more utilitarian if it were designed with storage in mind. When I go out shooting, I often use the likes of a Tic Tac container or other flip top mint container to hold pellets. If the magazine inside was fully hollow or compartmented, it would serve the purpose of holding extra pellets and maybe a few emergency hex wrenches.
Great video as usual, just to say the tip does come off the barrel to allow fitting of silencer there's a small grub screw you need too loosen first.
Good advice bout inviting ur neighbor over, just might get another person hooked on this sport we adore.

Great review Andy, I bought one of the original Rifles about 5 years ago was primarily a wall display, but the of occasions when I wanted to use it was somewhat underwhelming was pumping out around 6ft/lb so it was more style over function, however they are really well made & do look the part, I've seen a couple on display my local Gun shop, so I may be tempted to revisit this one 👍

I had one which was used regularly for light plinking. In my experience the power plant was already far too powerful for the chassis. The screws that hold the plastic stock in place screw into soft white metal. The recoil literally destroyed these threads and rendered the gun useless.

I hate polymer ( plastic ) on a gun, l know l know they're using it on real guns nowadays but that's a much stronger kettle of fish, and l still don't like it, plastic chassis and plastic triggers a real turn off, l like the reassuring feel of cold metal and its weight. I won't buy any gun with plastic chassis, l can take it on a umarex pistol as grips but as for anything else naw.

@LindseyGayham
8 ай бұрын
But i guess you couldn't cock it with a short barrell.
My 90s Rambo action figure had this.
If it went so low with heavy pellets and was near 12ftlb with 8.4’s I bet it would go way over with light weights.
Only in .177? No .22 version?
😮Also, what a Video to release at the time of yet another American shooter on the loose.
That thing looks ridiculous. Why make a carbine M4 replica with the barrel length of an M16A4? And how Andy said _'if you wanted to fit a silencer'_ with a straight face, I'll never know...
@dixenherize6969

Someone clearly doesn't know much about guns, or why TF a longer barrel would be beneficial and why you'd want a longer barrel and what it would bring to go along with the "carbine rifle". Clearly it's meant for "longer ranges"

I agree..the barrel length is long. But this is an airgun/break barrel. So you need the length to be able to break it. And to get an ok presisjon. But you could, like I've done. Put on a fake silencer. It makes the barrel look shorter.
is it a smooth-bore barrel ?
Put a carry handle on it and scope the handle, then you can use both sights

Thank you foor a great review. I have long since wondered if there are some policeman with a chronograph running around to make sure that people dont have illegal +12lb-ft air rifles. How is this law actually controlled over there?
@jacklurcher5813
8 ай бұрын
Generally if someone is caught shooting without permission, wildlife crimes or just being a nuisance with an air rifle/pistol the police will check if it's within the legal limit and add it to any charges if it isn't. I've been shooting in my garden when the police were in the area. They had a quick look over the hedge, waved, and went on their way. As far as I'm aware they don't randomly check. I am in a fairly rural area though, so nobody freaks out about anything vaguely gun-like.
Been looking to get this but sold out everywhere
Is it better than the crossman m4 177?
How secure is the stock? In some angles it looked like it was drooping down from the action, yet not in others. Could have just been the camera angles of course. Quite surprised about the price, no doubt helped by the plastic bits, but whilst it's not one to rush out and buy, it's certainly makimg me itchy for one 😁.
