I picked up a boxed, 4-inch model years ago and used it for training purposes. Last year I came across a 6-inch model in VG condition. Even with fixed sights, it'll still make a tin can hop at 25 yards. The best thing about the Colts is that they'll feed just about anything, unlike the High Standards from the same era.

I’m not sure what I’m more jealous of: the colt or the fact you live in a part of the country where you can buy cans of pibb xtra!

I like good deals! I got a good deal on a Taurus PT 92. It was in rough shape, but I cleaned it up and it shoots pretty decent now. I may replace the barrel some day, but the barrel would cost more than what I paid for the whole gun...lol

I just saw one of these at a local shop when I went to pick up my layaway, I've shot the woodsman years ago. I was watching one of your older video's of the pre war model 10 , the one I've got has the patent on the top of the barrel, made in USA on the right side with the s&w trademark

Sounds like a nice find. What barrel length is it? The longer barrel length were a lot more common back then than they were in later years.

@@1957Shep 5 inch , haven't had time to shoot it yet. It came with the box and a old holster. They also got in a smith and Wesson regulation police in 38 s&w , 5 shot with a 4 inch barrel and a model 57 that looks like its stainless. Had to make a appointment just to pick up my gun , so I wasn't able to check them out since only two people were aloud in the store

@@1957Shep around what would one expect to pay for a Huntsman in the same condition as yours? I'm looking at a huntsman sport but not sure what the average price should be on these. I have a feel for the market on woodsmans but not sure how much less the huntsmans should go for.
