Some very significant mistakes were made that would have changed the result: punching also moves the punched one car (therefor that player cannot loot what they have dropped), in case of a tie the gunslinger is the one who have been shot the fewest times (a tie only if they have been shot an equal number of times). Smaller mistakes: you can only move 1-3 cars on the roof and not unlimited, a reverse turn still starts with the first player. These may also have changed the end result. I know all of these have been mentioned, I just collect them in one comment because I'm reading the rules anyway :^)

I cannot give enough thumbs to show how darn much I enjoyed Dave's intro. :D

I think there was an issue around the 23:00 mark. Aaron played a shoot card and shot Nikki as they were both on the roof. But Aaron had the ability to shoot through the roof, so he could have also shot Dave who was in the car below him. That meant he had another valid target which means Nikki's ability would have come into play and he had to shoot Dave instead.

Dave is the best!! He's got that loveable, adorable, nerdy but fun uncle vibe going!!

I don't know the english rules, but there is one very important difference to the german rules: If you punch someone he loses not only loot, the victim is also moved to an adjacent wagon. That would have changed the results of your game.

It's a shame they missed that rule - I'd like to see their reactions if/when they found out they were playing the punch rule wrong, and the fact that this error completely changed the way the game played out. Maybe they should re-record the whole darned thing! ;)

Another mistake i saw was that you dont start with a random bag....everybody starts with a bag worth 250.

Although it doesn't change anything, In the last shoot, Dave's blast should have moved Lincoln to the first car and thus he'd have avoid marshal's revenge :)

This game would bring about so much analysis paralysis in my board game group.

This looks like a lot of fun due to the theme and the ability to feel like you are in a gun fight on a moving train with your friends. It does remind me, ever so slightly, of Niagara in that you are attempting to collect rewards by playing cards/chits to move along a path and occasionally stealing from the other players. The fact that the train track board doesn't come with the game seems either like an over-sight or a cheap method to make more money off of those interested, in my opinion. If I do buy the game, I will have to pick up the board to go with it. As always, great video guys!

I believe the advanced version where you are discarding bullet cards (if required) is to give the realistic impact that getting shot "slows you down". You're dealing with injuries (perhaps multiple) and they may delay your actions due to pain and blood loss. So from a story perspective, being required to discard a bullet card makes perfect sense to give that added realism of getting hurt and dealing with the consequences of getting shot.

Would really like to see an updated version of this video showing how the 2 expansions work. I have both but cannot work out at all how they should play out. I've tried other videos but no-one out there seems to offer an actual "watch it played" YT vid of those expansions.

I believe you are correct. That would make getting loot a little more strategic. I.e. A good time to punch someone is when they have loot to drop and at least one of the cars adjacent to them has no loot for them to get.

you should play it again with the 2 expansion horses and stagecoach and marshal and prisoners, they add horses, a stagecoach and the stagecoach shotgun riding guard, whiskey flasks, a prision wagon and the ability to play the marshal and shoot/punch people off the train.

Very good game but just a tip, in the rules it says that when you pick up loot you don't look at it an keep it face down on your character sheet so that you don't know until the end what you have

@@konstantinwendt3385 you're doubt is legit, i also looked it up and the only time the loot is face down is when it's laying in the train, once you pick it up you can look at it but it's only hidden from your opponents
