It crazy how at first it looks messy and it’s like “okay where is this going…” but then as soon as she went in with the pencils it was like BAM. Turned out amazing. Well done!
I used to get embarrassed when someone who say I was an artist. I’d say, “No, I’m just a human copy machine” because I couldn’t draw anything without a reference to work from. Many decades later (I’m 56) when I learned about aphantasia it was so freeing! Now when someone calls me an artist I just feel proud that my work touched them. Completely related to your struggle in this video! Awesome job, she’s 😍

I'm impressed you got such a nice skin tone without using the skin tones set. Which for what it's worth from an internet stranger, I think are really nice for people who do a lot of marker work. What amazes me is that you do this without being able to see the final result in your mind. When you pulled up the blank sheet, I had multiple ideas of how she might look and I know that isn't there for you. It's makes you that much more awesome in my opinion. Lovely work!

Hi Temi just watched you for the first time tonight. Loved your colouring book challenge. For someone that says she didn't know what she was doing your girl turned out beautiful in the end. Gorgeous. Thank you for the tips. I never saw anyone in my life doing their colouring with markers and then go over them with coloured pencils before. I couldn't imagine the two going together. I have so much to learn. So much has changed in the art world and so many new tools and new and different techniques. And even different papers for different paints. I love it. I'm 58 and when I was going to school we had this these jars of powdered paint they called watercolours. Well the smell off them would knock a horse going in the door of the classroom. I loved art and painting but that took the good out of it. Thank God for the Tubes and pans we have now that do not smell and the new markers etc. It' s a whole new world and one in which I'm learning and loving all over again thanks to you and so many great artists on KZread. It's a so good to see the tutorials and amazing things you all do. Thank you Temi. I enjoyed this and I' ll be looking to see what else you have up your sleeve. Much love Susan xxx💖💖💖🎨👍

I'm so glad I found your site. Your voice sounds like the morning, the sun rising, birds singing and all the flowers are in full bloom. I think you are so adorable! When it comes to most art I find that there is always an awkward (ugly) stage at some point before completion. I remember my art Instructor drilling this into our head, but I was too young to appreciate exactly what she was explaining. Of course yrs later while spring cleaning I had to go through all of my unfinished art because I couldn't get passed the ugly stage. I had given up painting altogether and after 40 yrs and a pandemic I started painting again. I just finished 2 paintings for my son's new apartment. He had more faith in me than I did. My son bought me all the art supplies that one would need to paint a picture. When I started my first picture I could feel the passion ignite and now when I hit the ugly stage of the painting I get excited knowing that I'm almost done. My son's neighbour loved my paintings so much that he has requested for me to paint a picture for his place. I feel light as a feather knowing that I possess the skills to get past that awkward stage of a painting. Also, I am very thankful to you and other professional artists that make these video's. I know I wouldn't have the art skills without all the great artists out there that love to share..

Hey, firstly wanted to say thank you for tagging me and sharing your creation with the series. Absolutely great work, I watched your recent video regarding Black characters and actually never realised I Don't do too many myself, though, I do many Blue and green aliens haha. So it's nice to see a different take on the series. I would say, the title is like suuuuuuper the same as mine which is a little misleading for my own series I started a few years back, I was actually a little triggered (in the latest episode) before I saw this episode of yours crediting me. Just a food for thought, identical titles can clash series and without appropriate credit can detract from source/inspiration works. That said I just wanted to reach, very lovely to find another artist from I believe a London background too. Hey, maybe one day we could actually Crossover in an Episode!
@TemiDansoArt

Im really glad that you show the hard parts of art, showing that everyone has struggles, even professionals! A lot of new artists think that once they get really good they'll make no mistake. I love how real you are, its so refreshing ❤
One piece of advice I learned from an artist called Irv Rudley, is to fill in the background, clothes and hair of the portrait before you even touch the face. If you have no colours and values around the face, then it'll make it much more difficult to get the values correctly laid down on the face.

I really love how this turned out. The pink suits her so well and I really love the coloring technique for the hair - it makes it look so realistic. The gold foil was such a good idea but in my opinion it turned out too messy...it looks more like random gold instead of hair-accessories. But I absolutely love her skin color with all the highlights and shadows - especially her face!

Well, it's a colouring book page, so I don't think you're cheating🥰 Also, lovely linework and from whoever did create that and you did great job on the colouring as well 😊!
Can we take a moment to appreciate her art!
Girl!! Your drawings are AMAZING.
she actually looks like a princess or royalty. you did a great job, keep going! :)
She’s an amazing artist. Her voice is so nice and soothing. She challenges herself and is very confident. She does really nice tiktok trends. AND i just love her style, i’m a young artist myself, and she inspires me so much. I don’t see a reason for me not to sub to herrr 💖💞🥺

I LOVE your art style, its so cute ! i love the realism mixed with not realism -i will be subscribing!
You are amazing! You have truly been an inspiration to me. I share my struggles that I have with my art. I try to incorporate art twice a week with my 5th graders. Exposing them to realistic art is so fun...they always ask if we're doing art.
Thanks for the braid tip!!
