THIS!! YES!!! THIS is a return to the teaching videos so many of us fell in love with you over!!! Name the pattern, how to cut and piece the blocks, a quick instruction on constructing the rows and then your personal touch on the quilting. Telling us where to go for more in depth instruction than a quick tutorial. With some cute humor mixed in. I could watch this type of video with you all day long!!! I do see in the comments that a lot of people do like the new style too. Maybe mix it up? Do this style one week, the new style the next, rotate them so there is something for your old and new fans? Just a suggestion. :)

Love the quilt would love to see you do the borders
Fearless! Dive in and make it gorgeous! )))
Hi Angela, after reading previous video comments on this season, I am very happy you are receiving such positive feedback! This video aligns with your older videos and was much more instructive with less “cutesy”. Keep up the great work!
One thing is for sure Angela, you can’t come up with enough content. I’ve watched every video several times and can’t wait til Wednesday when you upload new vids. And I joined craftsy so I’ve watched all those. I can’t get enough. I’d love to show you the second quilt I just made ever. I owe my success to these videos!!

That’s awesome. It’s gotta feel good to know how she is inspiring so many people. She’s some one I can really relate too. It makes me feel much more comfortable with what I’m doing.
Another excellent video Angela. I must let you know since finding you on KZread I have become a more confident and productive quilter smashing them out and not worrying so much about the perfection. You have been a real inspiration 😊
OMG - now I have to finish my current quilt so I can make this one - Angela is BACK - awesome job - I really appreciate the extra work you put into it!!!!!!!!!!!!! So So very inspirational!!!!!! In case we don't say it enough - Thank You - Thank You - Thank You!
I really like when you show us how to cut the pieces of the quilt and sew them together. Thank you .
The ruler you don't know is called a French Curved used for designing sleeve caps and arm holes amongst other things.

I have that and one other ...lol
Yayyy the real Angela is back! Glad to see the gratuitous Blueprint advert for something that didn't apply to the last quilt haven't been included this time. Thank you.
This is a nice improvement on the last couple of tutorials. I loved your template solution
Awesome idea of taping the template to a ruler. Makes for faster and easier cutting..plus protects the template. :D

Hi Angela, I use a permanent marker to darken the edges of my templates. Usually I mark out like an 1/8 of an inch, kind of like how a paper pattern piece looks. Having the darkened edge makes it sooo much easier to see. I use your idea as well of taping templates to rules if possible. Thanks for all your amazing videos I've watched many of them. I love the piecing part, quilting I still hate to do, but am working on my attitude since watching your videos, cause you make it fun! Lol
I’m a sucker for the Ombré colored fabric. This quilt is no exception. Great tutorial! Always quirky and fun as well as inspirational. Thanks Angela. 🥰
Now Angela you rock this video. I want to make this quilt. Thank you very much for sharing.
Love the Midnight Quilt Show!
Oh I love this video. Thank you for going back to the tried and true. I felt like I learned from this. Thank you Angela! I love your teaching style. I'm glad its back.
Excellent!!! Angela is back! Loved the details and the tips and the unhurried pace of this. I'm glad I waited and gave this another chance.

@@user-hl7hh7fc2i I would suggest looking it up online for standard sizes. That's what I did. It says queen is 90x108 and king is 110x108. I have made these sizes, but to be sure, I added another boarder of a couple extra inches. Good luck!
I love your quilt-the ombré fabrics are beautiful, and your quilting, as always just gives the quilt depth and lots of character! Love it!
Awesome video! I love the tip on taping the template/pattern to a ruler. Never thought of that..thanks!
Love this quilt! So bold and bright! And the quilting is spot on! Another one to add to the list.
It seems that a creative grids 60 degree ruler would make all of those shapes. The good news is, I already have one. Time to get the kit/pattern! Lol.
1. Loved seeing the thread color change. It was something a little different and gauged my attention. 2. Loved the FMQ you did here! Stuck to just two simple designs, but it's still dense and popped! Really enjoyed this episode.
so glad that you are back to teaching the way we love and for the reason that we started watching you. This is such a beautiful quilt. The fabric is amazing.
So im almost done with my first regular quilt, I chose the storm at sea quilt kit from bluprint!... I'm in the process of machine quilting it now with my walking foot!... Its far from perfect but I'm having fun with the process!

Drawadactyl Congratulations on making your first quilt and actually quilting it! It doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be finished. Or so I’ve been told. With each quilt, you’ll get better and better. There is no better feeling than seeing the results of something you worked so hard on. Be very proud of yourself!
AWSOME!
I’m currently cutting the pieces for this quilt and loving the process. I take a Frixion pen and trace around template onto strips and cut along line. No waste. And my template stays the same size. Bought a set of 3 clear plastic bendable cutting mats (housewares) for template plastic for &1 and will use less than half of it!!
Such a bright lovely quilt! I am drawn to the more traditional patterns! But feel my grandchildren would like this one !!
Beautiful quilt. I like the idea you have about quilting different motifs in different areas. The more I watch your examples of quilting the better I can imagine what I’ll do with free motion quilting. Thank you.
I need to get some ombre /fading fabric. Cuz I love the way the quilts Angela has made with them.
I love watching you. I've actually used rulers with templates taped to it like you did. It's so much faster and I don't ruin my templates. I'd love to see you do a storm at sea..
Very enjoyable video! I like how you show the cutting, piecing and quilting aspects in your videos and I am glad that has returned. Upselling is important for quilters wanting to make a living, but I think your viewers totally appreciate a more tutorial style like you always had in the past! Plus.. ombres are gorgeous!
I take the template to my local glass shop and he makes me a plexiglass template and I label it so I will have it for future use

Yes I understand you can buy larger sections of plexiglass from HD, but who will cut it down to your template shapes? Do they do that in-store for you?
Love it!! Again thanks for the chuckles while watching your tutorial.
Beautiful quilt and easy too. I love this quilt. Just have to finish another kit and may start this one next.
This quilt is stunning as is the fabrics you used. I’m new to sewing so once I get better at it I plan to make a beautiful quilt! It’s awesome seeing your creations. I always love them so much!
This is a cool pattern! I love the interplay of colors! It is on my to do list!
💙🧡 Oh the color play on this! Love it!
Beautiful quilt and I love the ombré fabrics. I’m pretty new to quilting so I probably not going to tackle this one yet. I really don’t want to have to make my own template and then try to keep from cutting into the template. Maybe in the future. I do love your tips and tricks! Thanks!
I do the same by taping the template (or as I call them, the T word), to a ruler I have closest to the shape. I never liked ombré but you’re changing my mind! Thank you for all you do!
Really lovely!!! It looks complicated but it’s a good challenge for the next project during winter. Will see. Cariños
Hi, just wanted to say thank you, your ideas are amazing, inspired me and helped me get my first 2 sales from sewing.
Love it! I love all the ombres! I haven’t tried rulers yet but it’s on my list! I’m planning on upgrading my machine the end of the summer so I’m waiting to buy the foot and rulers then! But I’m definitely turning to you when the time comes! I love all your videos! I haven’t used templates either but your idea is a great idea! Thanks for everything! I’m hoping to meet you this summer!
My template game needs LOTS of help! Thanks for the tips! Love ALL your shows!! Your so much fun! Thanks for all your hard work!!
Your the best, love your work. The red rule is a dress makers ruler. You never now when it may come in handy.
I love ombre colored fabrics as well
Love !! The colors!
I love the look of this quilt, but the template thing really throws me for a loop. Your idea of taping them to the edges of the ruler seems genius, I may just try it someday. LOVE your FMQ with rulers. Another great video, thanks Angela! ~Diana from Toronto
Wowza that's incredible! But you know what design I saw? Cathedral window. Really beautiful Angela. Just love your channel XO Happy Quilting
Just ordered the kit! Alas my sewing room is in storage.
I love the bright colors and the ombré is creating a wavy look. I’ve used Marti Michele (?) templates with success, but it can be tedious. Thank you Angela for another fun video.
Your use of the templates taped to the ruler was brilliant! Keep up the great shows
Love this quilt, I like bright colors. Thanks for a new video!
You are amazing ... and pretty darn funny too!!!!! love watching you. Thanks for sharing you talent.
I love your template solution! Best idea for working with templates that I've ever seen. I was a little disappointed at the comments last week ... I love your quirk & don't think you need less of it! I do like the longer videos though ... the first few this season were several minutes shorter than previous seasons.
I used to make templates out of sandpaper. Sandpaper keeps the template from shifting when cutting.

Love that! I'm going to try it. Thanks!
That quilt looks like spring! Thanks for a great video.
Thank you for your videos. I look forward to each one.
Love ❤️ this quilt and the instructor. You have helped me so much with knowing what to quilt where. And realizing that if you gave 5 professional quilters the same quilt to quilt they would probably all do it differently 😁. So that means everyone is right🥴
Love this quilt!! 😍 Look forward to all the videos... it’s why I took up quilting 😁👏🏼 You make it look so easy ☺️😄
I save my old cutting mats and cut out templates from the less used areas. You have to have a strong pair of scissors to do this, but they make nice templates that last. Also I mark the shape on a ruler with tape, similar to your taping the pattern on your ruler. We should have a whose got the most plastic rulers contest...
I may need to try out this quilt. I'm really loving the colors and the sunset-like look. I've still yet to quilt my first ever quilt top - made the top a little over 4 years ago when I was teaching myself to sew - but why should that matter. LOL
Love your template/ruler trick!!
I absolutely love this quilt. It’s so pretty.
Gorgeous quilt, gorgeous fabric...you rock!
haha. love your vids.....love how you got creative with the ruler and tape. :). great job once again.
Love the colors
I love the different colors great job love your episode
On your half hex I instantly thought of Missouri Stars Large Half Hex template. Don't know if it would have been the same size though. I kept wanting to pass it through the screen for you to see if it would work for you. That would have been helpful. But you did come up with great solution for those other pieces. And to bring up what another person suggest.....back in the day we used sandpaper.
I love this quilt and this video was loveable too. Thanks for your time. I like templates for cutting out pieces for quilting but find it very hard to use the rulers with my quilting.
Such a gorgeous quilt! ❤️
I would not have quilted or even thought of clam shells on such an angular quilt. Of course, it is just the right touch! I like most struggle with what to quilt. If I had the quilt police here telling me what to quilt I could do it but it just wouldn't be as much fun that is for sure!
I think to be using the template was a very good idea! I have only one ruler and I do everything with that. I use the same template method to do my last project!
Nice to see I am not the only one obsessively collecting rulers. LOL

Love your machine quilting finesse.
Love that quilt. It just might have to be on my list😉
Love this!
Another amazing quilt! Thank you!!
Hi Angela quilt looks amazing your so inspiring 🌹🌹
Love this episode!
14 people who gave it a thumbs down? Haters go on hating! I love this quilt. It gives off illusions. The play on colors is fabulous.

Lili Schmidt oh, you must be one of them haters. Anyone who works as hard as Angela deserves only thumbs ups. But let us not continue to blemish her wonderful video with your bickering. Have a great day!
I had a good laugh with all the rulers....we have so many ... yet not one to do the job! Your improvising was was quite clever. Thank you for your fun and enlightening videos!
You have a gift! Best quilter ever!
I think the Creative Grids 60 degree ruler might possibly work well for getting rid of those templates. Pretty quilt. I bought all that Jazz for ruler quilting but I’m all thumbs.
Another great tutorial! I love this quilt!
I’ve never enjoyed working with templates and that is the main reason why I use my AccuQuilt Go cutter. Faster and accurate cuts.
Beautiful quilt! Great show!
Beautiful
Thank you! Soooo much better!!!
I use laminating sheets, oh so easy then!!! I’ll have to do a little instruction thing!
I love your videos so much, I want to make all of them.
love the quilting!
Beautiful quilt and excellent video!
Beautiful quilt! I would love to make it.
Might want to consider printing your templates on to full sheet Avery stickers ( YES check for scale ) .... sticking them to the template plastic then cut out your template ... Easier to see your template but no longer see thru plastic... I have been successful doing this in the past ... Have also used this method for the plexiglass method mentioned by Sherri Palfey
I love the quilt!!
Great template idea
Great video!
Another Awesome Quilt and tutorial! thanks Angela, btw Hubby also loves this one and now says oh thats Angela your watching hahahaha! ive got him trained
May have to try this one!
