ER is back!! Beautifully filmed segment. When I did the Foothills Trail I met a woman from upstate New York, and we sat at camp talking about your videos, and she said she read your book Pushing North and loved it. Just know there are lots of people out there you don't know who appreciate what you do.

I'm starting the Colorado Trail as my first thru hike in less than two weeks and the excitement is overwhelming. It just feels so surreal that after watching thru hiking videos for years I will finally be heading out to do it myself. I appreciate that you share these adventures with us, may it inspire others to do the same.

Thanks, bro. This is an example of how far I've evolved in my mind from those first videos hiking the AT. My mind is so much quieter now. There's no desire for me to hit record and ramble on about "busy things" even though all those who have followed me since the AT still want the busy-mind me in the videos (look at the comments 😁). It has taken many trails and many hours of meditation and reflection to reduce the primacy of my giant-ass ego. That's where I think your gift lies. You are at a peaceful place mentally and can now let that place come out in verbal communication. That's powerful! That's a gift only a few have. It's a superpower. I tried to express aesthetically in my video because it doesn't flow naturally for me in verbal form. Thanks for the comment. Stay the course out there. There are many more people and places that are patiently awaiting your arrival, they just don't know it yet. 🤘🕑

(eye roll)..... There's only one God. We don't define Him ! Who are we to think that's possible ! You can say His name....who cares if people are offended..... let them be offended. Say it with me....... JESUS CHRIST ❤..... yeah ! JESUS ❤.... Let His precious name offend people. Those same ones will spend eternity wishing they could have one more chance. AND IT WILL NEVER COME !!! Wait until Judgment Day. They'll weep and gnash their teeth. The agony and regret knowing they chose to deny His Holy name !!! Tomorrow isn't promised to anybody. And don't think you'll just ask for forgiveness right before you die. God will not be mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth that will he reap. ..... God is forcing people to choose right now. No more being on the fence. That's why the line between good and evil is so obvious now. It's so apparent. Even unbelievers see it. I don't even like using that word....UNBELIEVERS. What!?!? Can't believe we were hiking the same state! Wish we had run into each other, but based on the colors of the foliage, I'm guessing you were a little earlier than me. Excellent video and some really extraordinary shots -- much better than what I got in CO. Love watching your evolution as a videographer and editor -- as others have said, I think this was your best one cinematically yet! I just got home two days ago after finishing the CDT, and am wrecked. Like you said in the video, Colorado was rough, but beautiful. Looking forward to the next video! BTW: How do you like the new Hyperlite pack?

Thanks ER. HOPE you get good weather during your hike. I know when your out there a million things go through your mind. I have driven through CO. Done a little hiking in Montana. Hey ER! Ran into you the first couple days and was trying to find at Kenosha campground. I had to get off trail because of a tic bite I got in Vermont the week before started to show bruising… Anyways really learned a lot from you and will continue next year!

I had a mirrorless camera and a GoPro 11. Switched depending on the shot. Always a.GoPro when holding while walking.

I can feel your struggle Trey. What are you running for ? What are you scared of? You don't think God can forgive? If you only knew how good He really is lol. You're missing out Trey ! Do this for yourself. And your family. And everyone else in your realm. Get a New King James Version Bible. And not because my Grandpappy's bruncles cousins neighbor's mailman said to use it. (I've done the research. Just get that one.) I don't feel like explaining why. It's the Word of God. Just trust me. And if some crazy Baptist tells you only the King James Bible is good.... don't argue with them. Tell them that was written in 1611 and there's no once saved always saved lol. Ok.... where were we.... Get a NKJV BIBLE. Get alone with God. Humbly ask God to show Himself to you. Pray. Step out in faith. Open that Bible and wherever your eyes first land....READ IT !!!! Just talk to Him. Read that Bible. Tell Him you're sorry for doing bad stuff. He is so good Trey. It's not just you. You've gotta help save your family too Trey. Don't be that guy on Judgment Day that watches his family thrown into Hell. Knowing you could have and should have helped. Quit being selfish. It's not just about you.....
