@Subydude1991 Жыл бұрын
Just an FYI since my wife and I got in trouble. But that second camp spot is private land. The landowners came by and kicked us out. We explained there was no signage and the wire they use as a gate was no where in sight. We obviously left the spot and went down the road further to not cause a fuss which the owners appreciated. But it’s funny to see there still is no signage and the wire was still down.
@Whitedogoverland
Жыл бұрын
It’s funny you say that, we looked on our maps for 10 minutes arguing whether or not that spot was private. The road straddles the NF boundary but we couldn’t figure which side of the road was private. Didn’t see any signs either and there was a tent pitched in every spot parallel with that road. At the end it was definitely posted private.

I don’t have an exact map but I can give you our camp spots so you’re not searching all afternoon. Near Durango first night was up forest road 253 also called Wallace lake road. It keeps going north east but may be closed to snow. We camped right at Wallace lake. Second night was just north of ouray on cutler creek road. Third night near eagle was off bocco mountain road, the gate to the lake was closed but may be open now. I would definitely advise not going down that road if it’s wet or if rain is coming in. One of the most white knuckle situations I’ve been in. If the passes are open definitely camp those without a doubt!

What's the etiquette on leaving that truck in the ditch? I get it, you don't wanna mess with someone's stuff, but with three winches it would been a piece of cake to get it on the road. Was it unlocked? Coulda shifted in neutral.and had it on the road in a few minutes.
@Whitedogoverland

That is most definitely something I’m not willing to mess with 1k miles from home in a different state on national forest land. That’s someone’s private vehicle, not something you go and touch especially if under insurance investigation or investigation by NF.

Or sure, maybe drunk, but even so ,you stop to check the vehicle. Stay in the city. You ain't country kinda folk. Sell your rigs and buy mopeds.

@@Whitedogoverland spot on 💯
Just an FYI since my wife and I got in trouble.

We're headed that way on the 3rd would love to get a map of your route. Were running full size rigs as well a with current conditions we don't want to get stuck in a situation.

It’s a pretty old company who went out of business in 2013, theyre called a Flippac and pretty difficult to find in good condition. Paid half for what the new stuff goes for!
Epic 👍👍

You guys ever think about running a hard mounted gmrs or ham radio in the tlrigs full time?

I’ve considered a gmrs I’m just such a cheap bastard my $40 wired boefang ham is adequate haha. I think the other guys run gmrs

@@Whitedogoverland no worries bro. I am on the fence about getting a topper like yours or an a walk in camper? It's just for the wife and our 2 dogs!

If you can score one of these vintage pop ups they’re awesome. I like an in bed camper versus pull along so I don’t have to worry about anything behind my on rough trails
Sick video
Are you driving in the daytime with your lights on because it's required, 3 trucks are moving at less than 20 mph and seat belts. Save your lights for nighttime, seat belts for regular driving

-Does the cummins with the Xovrlnd plate have an instagram or youtube? Id love to know about that build- Saw other comment about it
Love that massaged diesel Cummins rumble.

What's the etiquette on leaving that truck in the ditch? I get it, you don't wanna mess with someone's stuff, but with three winches it would been a piece of cake to get it on the road. Was it unlocked? Coulda shifted in neutral.and had it on the road in a few minutes.

That is most definitely something I’m not willing to mess with 1k miles from home in a different state on national forest land. That’s someone’s private vehicle, not something you go and touch especially if under insurance investigation or investigation by NF.

Actually, fact you didn't stop to look at it tells me I'm giving a thumbs down. And im clicking to not show this channel in my feed. You guys should be having gasoline fights and drinking orange mocha frapuccinos in the city. Obviously some one went off he road..and you don't know if he swerved to avoid a deer or elk, or if someone ha d a health issue. Or maybe damaged steering. Or sure, maybe drunk, but even so ,you stop to check the vehicle. Stay in the city. You ain't country kinda folk. Sell your rigs and buy mopeds.
hey man! just came across this great inspiring video of yours, crazy i just picked up a 3500 mega cab was thinking of doing something like your friends in the video! by any chance you can tell me his set up ! thanks man need more people out there like you.

@@Whitedogoverland gotcha. Mine is pretty small too and has a way thinner coat than others I’ve seen online. I actually think he may be mixed with a Golden Retriever or Collie, so I think he’ll be fine. It doesn’t seem to bug him too much, just wanted to be safe.
