How about the playback on lumafusion if you editing in 60fps for all clip ? Is it still play buttery smooth ?

Awesome thanks what a great video. When I film in portrait mode [phone vertical] and edit on luma it always saves as widescreen [horizontal] probably cause I set the project to 16:9 What's the setting for horizontal then dumb question thanks for the tip

Thanks for your question. It depends what tools you need in order to create your video. Each editing software has their own strengths, in general editing software is on a desktop like final cut pro have advanced editing tools and Allows you to do more with your footage. I suggest testing out the editing software to get familiar with it. It really depends on your editing needs. LumaFusion has many advanced features but not as many as final cut pro.

Hi so I’m considering buying LumaFusion but now that I’m about to get the iPhone 15pro I want to shoot in the new ProRes log codec,will I able to edit that on this ?

hy first of all i really enyoj our Videos i have since 3 Days a new iphone 14 Pro max an learn some good stuff alls from your Videos. But i have a question about Filming in 4k 60fps i get a Message when i setup the Settings to4k 60fps that only can be editet on an Mac so this will not work for example with Davinci Resolve on a Windows pc ?

Great, great video! Im new to filming and lumafusion but love luma. I export in : color 8 bit Rec 709, 1920x1080, 60 fps and video quality 36Mbs. Any thought about this? you think i shood change something? ..was thinking to edit in 709 10 bits...i have an iphone 12 pro max

What are the little green dots that are on the right side, in the middle? As you edit the little green dots fill in. In between the arrow and the star. Can’t find an answer for what those are.

I think you mean lens flare. On smartphones these generally appear as green dots when shooting towards the sun. These don’t look nice and the best way to avoid it is to change your position.

Love the duplicating tracks and applying gaussian blur technique. Definitely going to borrow that one. Got the 13 pro max, got Lumafusion and Filmic Pro, DJI OM5 arrives tomorrow, and thanks to yours (and others) videos, I'm actually excited to get going with it. Thanks for your work, actually showing the screen capture as you're editing makes a huge difference. I am now as comfortable in Lumafusion as I am in Lightroom mobile. Thanks again.

@@pebayou.3380 People usually into videography using their phones often find the over sharpness of such devices not very professional looking, toning down the sharpness is easier on the eyes, less digital looking and in general seems more natural Peba. I hope this helps. Oh' look up "why are phone pictures and video too sharp" to understand what I'm saying Peba 👍

Correct, lumafusion is currently available to download only for iOS users and is one of the best editing apps out there. Otherwise check out inshot 👍🏻

There are in app-purchases too such as for multi-cam editing and exporting xml filies but if you don’t need this extra features then you will only have to pay 30$

I found this really useful. Colour grading is something that I’m fascinated by the many different approaches. Is it an exact science? You’ve proven without the use of scopes and trusting your eye that great results can be achieved with subtle changes to levels. Thank you for sharing this. Just a question regarding Filmic Pro settings, if you’re able to answer? Would the Dolby HDR - 10 bit ProRes be the equivalent to the ProRes 2020 option to give the same 10-bit HDR recordings you’ve recorded with the native app? Thank you!

Thank you so much for you comment! Yes the codec is similar and is a great option when it comes to color grading your footage. Me too, i love coloring my shots. At first it seems complicated but as you practice and get better its so much fun to do.

To my knowledge Instagram doesn't support HDR video, so exporting to the standard colorspace and codec would work. I believe Instagram does accept h.265 video however, so I think any codec export will work. It's just HDR to be careful of.

Yes, so its best to export it in 1080p and do the compression in you editing software. Also in the Instagram setting under account data usage make sure high quality uploads is enabled 👍🏻

This was super helpful mate thank you. I’ve subbed. Is there any chance you can do a quick video on how to fade out an audio track. There’s videos on how to do it on the iPad however it involves key frames and I couldn’t do the same thing on my iPhone 13 pro for some reason.

Thanks you so much! To fade audio tracks in an out you can use the cross dissolve transition. You can just drag the layer onto the audio and from there on you can adjust the audio length of The audio fade. Thanks for subscribing, it really helps.

nice tutorial...but the edited footage has the highlights blown out and really doesn't look good overall.

ProRes is nothing but another marketing strategy to make you buy 512 gb or 1tb. In fact, normal 4K would look 99% as good as this one, unless you film clouds in some really challenging conditions like here.
