Great tips! All 100 of my vids have been filmed with an iPhone in 4k at 30fps...rarely use the wide angle lens...the new cinematic mode is clutch and have been using it while filming in my truck. Thanks, Matti!

Fantastic tips 👊🏻 If I may add one more: I usually change the audio to dual mono because I think the stereo sound is another dead giveaway that it’s an iPhone shot. Usually when we’re shooting mirrorless, we’ve got a shotgun mic (mono) on top, so this helps give it the phone the same feel. What do you think?

That's an interesting point, to be honest I think stereo sound, for some videos, might be an advantage too, in reaspect to the viewers perception of being present.

Do you Plug one ear while shooting? Come on Stereo is true life. You may think you don't hear it but it's there Bro. It only when you play it back through a speaker system you notice the difference.

@@HoundDogMech It’s all trade-offs. The voice not being dead center in the stereo field (which will happen for all sorts of reasons - just turning your head while speaking for a moment will shift where your voice is) is a huge giveaway that the video was shot on a phone.

Why you don't use shotgun mic on iPhone?

I just took a trip and my only camera was my Iphone 13pro. I wanted to be lighter this trip and thought I’d just try it. The phone performed great and captured the memories I made on my trip perfectly. It really is true that the best camera is the one you have on you.

Thank you for such great tips. I still have my old iPhone 11 but I think it could work too, as it also has an ultrawide camera. And you were right, I tried it a bit when the phone was new but then I never thought about using it again...

I currently film everything on my iphone. I’ve been looking into getting a camera, but most of the affordable ones have this feature but no that feature and vice versa. My phone has all of the features, so I’m sticking to this.

Every single one of the videos I've produced ranged from the iPhone 7 all the way to the 12 -- I didn't need a music subscription, but at this price, I just had to have it. Loved the community vibe of this video 🙌🏽

How do you get around the lower quality video ? Especially when uploading places

13 mini!!! honestly the best feeling phone in my hand since like iPhone 6

I love to film my videos with my gopro since i mainly do sports/fitness videos but i also mix in iphone clips for convenience. The only bad thing is my iphone XR doesnt have the cinematic or wide angle options so the best i can do is 4k at a normal iphone lens. It looks ok sometimes and not so good for other angles or shots.

You can't fix it, I have watched hell lot of tutorials on that and nothing worked. I now use Davinci Resolve cuz it doesn't mess up the colours of my footage and it is free.

It's actually the color grading. Regardless of the lens, it's always the color grading if you want pro video footage. Wondering why it wasn't mentioned in this video.

How would one go about exporting HDR iphone footage in premier or final cut? I've been unable to find a way to do it and make managable final file sizes

Phones have such good cameras now it's crazy. You can do so much creative stuff on them

I sold my a 7 and a 6300. I do what I do with an iphone 13 pro. Yes, from my nature I am an old school photographer. i participated in two trainings. Videography with an a7III and an iphone. The results are not that good that it ist worth to go with an a7. I get the same or better results with my iphone. On the run. And you guys have been inspiration and part of my journey. 👍🏼💪🏼🥩🎉🎊

Good video, but I wish you were more specific in a few things. What really gives your stories this amazing feel is the editing in my opinion. Do you guys use the native camera app? Do you use your own filters on instagram? Do you edit the videos on camera and apply your own luts?
