My great aunt actually has amethyst colored eyes. It is wild. They have dulled as she has aged, but are still definitely purple. When she was young they were a very vibrant amethyst color. It runs on my moms side of the family, it is a hereditary "defect".

Yes! Your natural color is the most beautiful!!! Also, great review. Most videos I see have poor lighting! I think some of these colors are really nice, but I hate how you can see the overlapping of the rims on the outside of your iris when you move your eyes and the small gap around the pupil area. Hopefully, at some point they will make contacts that fit better.

Thank you for doing this! Even though I have light eyes (blue/gn/gray) I can NEVER find any photos that show the colors on lighter eyes, so thank you for doing this. I actually ordered 2 colors about an hour ago, because of your tutorial! (I bought the regular blue and the sterling gray)

Thank you for the video. I've been trying to find someone with a similar eye color to me a brownish green. I've found a lot of reviews with dark brown or brown eyes but not a true hazel color.

The normal green and turquuoise are beautiful and looks more natural.;),,thanks for sharing!

How natural they look depends on your own eye colour. Fresh look colorblends are intended to enhance the eye colour most similar to the lense. So the blue/green ones are for people with light blue/green eyes. The hazel and brown ones are for brown eyes. To you the blue ones looked fake but on my eyes they looked a very natural colour, while the brown and darker green colours looked obviously fake on me.

Princess Leelita maybe on this video they do but in real life they only look natural when you're wearing a shade close to your own eye colour. If you look towards the sun or a very bright light then everyone can see you're wearing contacts. Or if you're shooting with an SLR camera and the face/eyes are the focus of the shot you have to photoshop around the pupil to blend it so it isn't obvious the model is wearing contacts.

Your natural eye colour is prettier than most of the shades you're trying! I have natural blue eyes and wanted a lens that gives me hazel eyes like yours. And if any other blue-eyed people are reading this and have similar intentions: I can confirm that when the 'Honey' shade is on your blue eye the result will be 'Hazel'. Unfortunately I've had to opt for the Air Optix version of Honey for comfort reasons, which is tragic because I prefer the more vibrant hue of the Freshlooks product!

Good choice! Yeah I've worn regular blue to work before and noone even noticed they're that subtle. I wouldn't wear the brilliant blue to work for sure! Well...I might but people would definitely notice.

do these contacts have a visible line around them? I don't like looking into my eyes and seeing the contact if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

I have naturally grey eyes that are similar to yours but lighter and i wanna try out brown and honey, do you think they would be opaque enough to cover my eyes?

Good question - yes the honey would even appear on dark brown eyes, and the brown would cover basically any eye color except dark brown. Those would be a pretty combo!

did you have cloudy vision in these contacts? Like when u moved your eyes around? Did they take some time to get used to? I have a pair and I can see the outline of the color when I move my eyes around. did that happen to u, and did it take time to adjust? or get used to?

I never had cloudy vision, make sure you use new lenses or clean them in solution thoroughly first. They did take a bit to get used to bc thicker than normal contacts

I bought the gemstone green thinking my eyes were more hazel, but it made no difference. haha. No one could guess what eye I had it in when i put it on one. I didn´t think my eyes were THAT green!

The violet was surprisingly natural on my hazel eyes, one of the more realistic looking colors!

This is a very helpful piece, especially for people with a similar hazel. The blues work better than I would have expected, though there's still hazel showing around the pupil. I was trying for the opposite effect, turning blue eyes into hazel, which I did with Brown. The effect is pretty good, though a couple of people commented on my unusual eye color (without mentioning contacts) since there's still blue showing around the pupil. I haven't tried the actual Hazel or Honey yet, which should look a bit green on the blue, but they might be too light for what I'm trying to do. Freshlook does have a demo where you can see the different shades on your eye color, but the blue they use is bright turquoise, so it's not much use in my case. Anyway, this is a great video! But there are almost no demonstrations on blue eyes-- why is that?

+Excelsior the brown with your natural blue look you are describing sounds so unique and beautiful! The honey are awesome, they remind me of vampires and are almost glowy. The honey are more dramatic than you might think at first glance, while the hazel is more subtle in my opinion (but maybe because my eyes are naturally hazel). I don't think the Freshlook demo is very accurate..but definitely a good starting point! I think I included most of the Freshlook blues in the video (regular blue, brilliant blue, sapphire, and turquiose) - maybe I didn't go into as much detail on the blues? If so, it was merely an oversight. Thank you and glad you enjoyed it!

I had gemstone green before, I already have kind of greyish blue eyes.. I was thinking going with one of the greys, and I was looking for a good review, so thank you! I think I'm gonna stick to the gemstone green, it is really pretty, and to be honest not many people noticed, that I have two different eyecolors (because I can't correct my other eye with a colored lense, my leftie is a special case, lmao) and even if they did, they didn't believe me that it is a colored lense! haaha
