@@FORTworkshop Such patience! Many large container vessels are horrible nowadays. but also, most have beautiful hulls. This is one of ht better looking classes. :-) Just ann opinion. :-)

Great model, I just built the same kit. The ship took a few days to build, painting the containers took a few weeks and then I put the Hapag-Lloyd container decals on, I also found some other container company logos online such as APL, COSCO, Evergreen and K-Line and made 1/700 scale decals from them. It looks good. We live just north of Los Angeles and see all the container ships lined up

I'd give an arm and leg to get the edges of the containers as neatly and tightly painted as yours. How on earth did you manage that? My compliments.

Haha, funny how inspiration works. I've been playing a procedurally generated horror game set on a cargo ship called Monstrum, so came looking for a ship model that I can paint as Freddy Krueger's crib, a real rust, mould and shit stained hellhole. I build warships in 1/350, and would recommend that scale for most everything (much better detail, a better size-anything smaller than an aircraft carrier is too small in '700th): but a huge cargo ship is an exception. I wouldn't do this in '350-much too big, 700th's ideal.

What color did you use for under the waterline

Hi do I have to have an airbrush to make the paint look as nice or can we do it with just a brush,and yes I will use masking tape

Hi! To paint the hull I used an airbrush. With usual brush it will be difficult to achive such surface.

Модель хорошая, но у меня был случай, что попались детали корпуса с недолитым бульбом и кормой. Пришлось писать в поддержку Revell (на офиц. сайте), выслали новый корпус. Правда пришлось месяц подождать :)
