The Colombian city of Medellin was once dubbed the world’s murder capital, with more than 6,000 people killed every year in the hometown of the drug lord Pablo Escobar. But today, the city is full of swanky bars and restaurants. As FRANCE 24 opens its fourth news channel, this time in Spanish with headquarters in Colombia, Eve Jackson discovers through artists, rappers and filmmakers how Medellin has gone from the world’s most dangerous city to one of Colombia’s liveliest and most creative.

It's a different way of showing, what Colombia is all about . Thank you, for exploring this beautiful country. Great people, lots of problems, but eager to overcome them. Their's a spirit, of happiness, in contrast of adversity. Once you get to know us,you see we are not much different ,just human beings, full of live, with great aspectetaions, for ourselves, the community and of our exuberant country.

Sencillo, sólo en medellin los exteanjeros pueden visitar barrios pobres, ya que en otra ciudad del mundo sería suicidio.
