Hello bhaiya I am getting rank in adv 1462 gen category , eager to learn AI / ML. Acc to last yr closing ranks , I am getting IIT Roorkee MnC or Electrical, IIT Guwahati ECE , IIT Patna and few others 2nd gen IIT CS/ AI. It is case for all the colleges in India. If you talk about iits or nits if an it is showing 23 average package in an IIT and it is showing 23 average package in nit, Definitely both will have some packages on the higher side that shoots up the number

Choosing environmental science at IIT Bombay, you will be allowed to sit in all the companies placement. Even the quant companies recruit from environmental science and engineering. You have to develop skills that are highly demanding for the current companies. You will get people around you, your batchmates who will prepare for quant, Don't worry Come to IITB, you won't regret

No it totally depends on you like if you are getting tier 1 iits and if you can manage your academics along with the tech stuffs, as most of the iitians do, then you can go for top IITs or if you don't want to study anything except your branch then you can choose top nits

bhaiya how is BITS Pilani? I am getting BS Geology in IIT KGP and MSc Economics+BE in Bits Pilani, but the dilemma is that I have been highly interested in Economics and I am afraid that if I go to KGP then I will struggle again by studying things that I have no interest in. If Bits Pilani and IIT KGP have a comparable alumni network, then I'll go to Pilani, if not, then KGP. Another fear is that in KGP I will technically be in the last branch so will I really get equal opportunities? Please guide🙏

Good morning If he is not getting any circuital branch in tier 2 iits then prefer any branch in best IIT that he is getting There he will manage to get a good placements as other iitians do Companies don't have branch restrictions in iits If he just want to study CSE and want to build his career in CSE then he should choose nit, but he will not get the brand value of IIT

It is not that you will get less placement opportunities when you will choose IIT kanpur. Even you can get placed in the quant companies, but you have to develop skills that quant companies demand. You will get your peer group who will be studying for quant companies. So don't worry, you can go for IIT Kanpur

Bruh , I got 7.5K in JEE A and 14.5K in JEE M and I'm from delhi so I've chances of getting into DTU,NSUT & IIITD and into some of the IITs so I wanna go to IITs but everyone around me forcing me to join the TIER-1 colleges in Delhi and leave the JEE A ,Also the reason I wanna join IIT is that I prepared a f**king hard to get this rank so I don't want to leave this opportunity, Any suggestions.

Then you should believe on your inner guts One thing is very sure that if you ever regret that you had an opportunity to go to IIT Bombay or Delhi or kanpur or Madras and you did not go there. Then you can't blame the society right? So it is better that you follow your dreams. If you have worked hard for Jee advance then go to IITs you will get many opportunities irrespective of Branch. You can get placements of crores. Believe me At IITs you will get some of the top coders even in the non circuital branches And come to IIT Bombay we will meet

You will be taught CS in sem 1 AI and DS in sem 3 But you will find techie people around you who will be learning the computer courses so it will motivate you a lot. If you are interested in technology. Furthermore, you can opt for computer science minor or AI or data science or ml minor

See if you want to go in core electricals then you should choose roorkee, if you want to explore a lot of opportunities. Then you should choose IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay, there also you will get best placement opportunities And if you want to study only computer science and nothing else and get placed in a quant company then you should choose CSE

You should focus on skills in college And ism is close to top 7 iits but not equivalent

Bhaiya Im interested in electronics semiconductors microprocessors etc... And I'd like to continue my career in this Electronics field But Im getting Civil/chemical/metallurgy in IITM And I will get EEE in NITT In IITs if I learn coding side by side I will be placed in Software company but thats not my goal I would like to be placed in companies like Nvidia, Qualcomm etc.... Can I choose Civil in IITM and by someway is there any chance that can I learn Electronics or EE related in IITs and can I do projects related to this electronics amd get placed in such companies!? What should I do now bhai?

At IIT you can do projects related to electronics No doubt in it But it will very hard ti study electronics that industries demand So better goto nit Have faith in your guts

Go for IIT Roorkee If you are getting interested, you will give jobs(startups) And also in all iits they teach CS AI DS in all courses Don't worry about placements Follow you interest, you won't regret, believe me

If you want to study only computer science related things, then you should choose data science if you want to explore a lot and want a top seven IIT tag, then you should come to guwhati, It is not that in the civil department of IIT guwhati you will get less placement opportunities

Both have same placement opportunities but the life outside the college differs a lot. So if you are getting it Delhi you will also get IIT Bombay, come to IIT Bombay
