To start off, def do the essay!! Even though it’s “optional!” For me, specifically, I wrote about how I really wanted to pursue music AND economics, and why both of these things are important to me. As you may know, Northwestern is super flexible and supportive with students wanting to pursue a variety of different things! Since I want to Dual Degree, and Northwestern is like one of the only schools that has a “self contained” dual degree program, that was another thing I wrote about. So just in general, definitely think about why Northwestern appeals to you and your goals!!! I hope this helped, and I wish you the bestest of luck in the college app process!!! YOU GOT THIS! 🤩🙌💜
