A raised mindset of my actions don’t have consequences. What’s sad is his actions this time had consequences that his parents were not able to get him out of. This is classic behavior for the more affluent members of our society. I have been around it and seen it many times. And they always seem to say they have mental challenges. Only challenge I see is the lack of understanding that actions will eventually have consequences.

obviously doesn't justify murder but he was 100% getting charged with more than a citation - they would have found the stolen gun eventually & probably would have given him a distribution charge on the drugs. so really he'd have been facing 3 felonies: drug distribution (in texas - max life), theft of a firearm (max 2 years), possession of a firearm in a prohibited place (max 10 years). he likely wouldn't have gotten max on any of these but i guarantee you he was thinking about the max sentences when he came up with the idea to shoot the cop. regardless, you're right, dude is a psychopath.

I read more Into it, and there seemed to have been an incredibly unlikely circumstance that occured. the officer did thoroughly pat him down, but right before, an officer helped pull up his sagging pants, which dislodged the gun from his wasteland, and it got caught in his pant leg. as officers checked his waste, legs, ankles. The gun happen to slide further and further down his pant leg at just the right time. By the time it rested at his ankle, his ankle was already checked. This is why the dude was asking to tie his shoes, and wanted to fiddle around near his foot, he wanted to secure the loose gun.

Putting someone in handcuffs who has committed a crime is not treating them as other than human. This is an example of THE reason why you put them in handcuffs and keep them there till literally every orifice has been searched. Also it prevents officers from getting injured or suspects from deciding they don't want to comply. Handcuffs can't be removed, but you can't bring someone back to life.
