I lost my two brothers my mom and my dad in an accident caused by a drunk driver when I was 15. I enjoy watching families on KZread having fun or working or having fun working lol. This is my favorite channel on KZread and I do my best to drive folks here daily. Your channel does more than you think for folks and the wise words at the end help

The vehicles y’all consider rough are pretty much pristine compared to what we get in the rust belt. Makes a guy a bit envious you sure live in some gorgeous country.

I too live in the land of ice and salt and you're right about that! Mind you it seems the newer the vehicle the faster it rusts, much better steel in older vehicles. No body will be restoring a car from the 2000's after it sits for 20+ years 😂
Great family effort recovering an antique truck in the snow...the seller was great in his helping. Merlin would be proud, lol.

Am I the only one that is marginally annoyed at how easy that loading would have gone if that big ass loader had helped for even 5 minutes?
Dish soap works well for sliding and washes off with no problem
It's not hoarding if you actually do something with them. Bringing it home to rot in a different spot is just horrible. Merry Christmas guys, I hope you have a wonderful day!
What a beautiful Christmas video Thank you 😊❤
Buy all you can Chad, save as many as you can.
Hello Chad, that's definitely a 1937 Chev truck. There's no mistaking the grill shape. PS ... enjoy your videos.

Is his mind and his wife's mind he is buying trucks to produce content to provide for his family. Hording doesn't apply. Hording is buying and collecting things you will never use. Knowing you won't use them and then never using them. What Chad is doing is nothing like hording

Huge shout out to the guy driving the Telehandler. Impressive driving skills. Nice find on both these trucks...🤓
The farmer in the snow was for sure a terrific equipment operator.

It's called almost like finding money. Chad being friends with the right guys at the right time! The personalities growing Chad.😉
You would think with that loader the farmer could have taken 2 minutes to lift that back up and get it on the trailer.

Lots of old vehicles around but most owners think they're gold plated. I've seen sellers advertise a junk vehicle for half the cost of restoration.
Chad, you and Stacie are son hoarders. You already have five. Boys are hard on vehicles, so it makes perfect sense to hoard "buildable" vehicles. Re-purposing vehicles is a wonderful way to keep your kids attention focused. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 🎄

Dawn dishwashing liquid does a great job making a slick surface and is as easy as a water hose to clean up, also you can take a good size bar and a 3 lb hammer and hit the brake drums to free them up, just saying, I used to free semi tractors up by hitting the drums to free them

Yeah ,don't be like Dennis Collins..👍
There was a JCB telehandler there that they moved early in the video. That would have lifted the truck easily. I've used sheet metal to load vehicles. Use two layers with a little grease between then and they slide easily.
That old truck sure put up a fight. Another cool truck to add to the collection. 👍
Merry Xmas you guys! Needs to be a roll back tow truck. Original color
Merry Christmas to you all !
Restore it to as close to original as possible. Keep it with that 1937 vibe including the engine & drivetrain if possible. To RatRod it up makes it just another old rodded truck. But to try and bring it back to road worthiness as it was when parked would be a great statement. You could use it in parades to advertise Chad’s Fab!! Hope you can somehow use the chassis, motor, drivetrain and all the body parts to keep it as original as possible.

I think harbor freight gave you guys a good jack. I bought one and have bled it several times and it will not stay up long enough to move a vehicle 2 feet let alone use as a dolly.
Not sure when this was done with the green grass and trees. Good job loading the truck. The big loader could have been a big help.

Hay Chad I'm wondering if you asked the farmer if he could come over with that front loader it would probably slide on to the trailer.
Merry Christmas y'all, great job saving the the old girl, she'll be nice when you figure out what to do with her
Merry Christmas To you and your family! If nothing else you saved that 36 or 37 truck from major tree damage. Some one is always looking for those parts or the whole truck. You and your sons got experience of getting it out of the woods. Thats the fun part!!

I hope you and the family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for a year of great content.
Telehandler is a must for loading and unloading stuff. SOOOO handy.
It may have been either a head gasket failure or crack head or block that allowed the water in to the cylinder. Wow that snow trip was a bit narley

Always interesting, educational and factual.....thanks Chad
Chad, I watch your videos and have seen you do great work on wiring harnesses. They look great, are marked well and ensure a long future for the vehicle. Watching you remove the old truck from the trees shows your patience and ability to develop the best plan on the fly. Your family seems totally involved in the builds and take care to make, install each part for the best fit and function Keep up the great videos Joe
That guy certainly drives a mean telehandler. Saved Chad and co a fewv months of snowblind horror.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for letting us be a part of the adventures you do with your boys.
I wonder if an intervention is in order for Chad ? Naw we ALL want to watch the next project. Merry Christmas to Chads Family and Mr Chad too.🎅
Merry Christmas to you all
As always, good to watch you and the family work together.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Best wishes for the coming new year. I love your channel, especially how you have your whole family involved.
Thanks for sharing this rescue!! That's a 1937 1 1/2 ton truck. I've had one just like it here in Norway. Sadly it went up in flames many moons ago....
I loved doing that kind of stuff with my three sons. There was an auction down in Florence Colorado last summer and I told my boys I’d like to go to one more auction before I was too old. Not only did my three sons go 5 of my grandsons. and one great grandson went. We spent the whole day. We ended up buying a corvair and a bunch of Corvair parts that none of us are ever going to use. But what a day.
You can check the tail lights if they’re still there it should tell you the year of the truck through the tail lights. A lot of the older cars were set up that way.
Love the family road trip! Also, a new project. ;-) Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to y’all
The old truck is a 1937. That one is in great shape, good luck with it.
Come on Chad! You know what you're going to do with it. That truck is begging for an LS powered restomod. Now do it! I have faith in you.
Merry Christmas 🌲🙏
Rollback experience talking here. Next time carry a bottle of dishwashing liquid and water in a pray bottle. Easier clean up for sliding those locked up wheels on the deck. And when you have the back end jacked up like that put the tow vehicle in neutral and winch the tow vehicle under your load.

That last truck would be a cool roll back
Merry Christmas!
I think you need to do a collaboration with Merlins Old School Garage and drop a Cummins in it and put a stake bed on the back.
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
Keep it a 37 farm truck. Put a flatbed on it and get it running original. Only upgrades would be vintage looking 12 volt alternator, dual master cylinder and seat belts. Modern safety glass too. The old stuff used when it was parked would give you a glass necklace back in the day. Your head would go through the glass and then the early plastic they used in the replacement glass would shrink back to its original shape which wasn't very pretty. There's something special about the sounds of those old trucks with their gear whine perhaps due to those early morning deliveries they made being the wake-up call we had to get ready for school as they drove by delivering milk, eggs, butter, cheese and other farm goods. You run out to check what they left in the box to see if the farmers wife had included something special for the kids. We didn't have supermarkets yet unless you drove into the city so those old trucks with their tire chains and mud hooks were our lifelines in the dead of winter. We only lived 2 miles from the school so we had to suit up, put on our boots and walk over two hills to get there even when it was snowing in the dead of winter so we had to get up early to be at the school on time. Best!
back at you chad MERRY CHISTMAS to you and your family. that 68 c30 would make a great rollback.great channel don't forget about gonzo love that truck
Merry Christmas to the Chad family. Pretty cool that you can find these trucks and fix them up. Thanks for the shows, they're great.
Thanks for the Xmas Video! Merry Christmas
I loved this video, 30 yrs difference between the two trucks and what you're going to do with them will make for good content for your channel! Chad's Fab has a lot to keep you all busy for awhile and I'm so looking forward to it! Mary Merry Christmas and I'll see you on the next.😊
But honey, it simply followed me home. Can I keep it? You are right about farmers and old machinery. My relatives bought old machinery to start with, fixed it up and ran it until another deal came up. Most of the stuff they parked was "running when parked" and hardly worth the trouble to sell. Today, some of it is worth restoring.
Merry Christmas Chad's Fab! It's amazing you guys can pick up these old trucks and make them good again.
Your assessment of farmers and equipment is spot on.

Two Kool projects And Merry Christmas 🎅🏻
For the 36/37 chevy that was in the farm field since the 50's, I have a few ideas: A resto-mod daily driver with a modest small block chevy to run errands, and nothing heavy duty. Second option: A fully toughed up truck with a turbo-diesel, dual side tanks, heavy axels, and a dually. And last option, chop and drop, and put a blown hemi in it, with fat tires on the back.
Great working your lads worked with mine 25 years in construction in UK

Getting them back on the road or their pieces to people that can use them is the best thing. Sometimes they have to wait a bit to be completed or find a use for, but you are doing them justice. Most people dont have the expertise, parts, pieces or time to get these back on the road.
