Indeed. I am still not a fan of Pixie's art no matter how many times and how many ways they were repainted and redrawn. Some grew on me, such as the soft repainting by Francois Taperneux. On the whole, I think Pixie was a better illustrator than she was an artist (I am going to set aside the debate about "illustrator" vs "artist" for the moment). Sadly, during the Golden Age of Illustration, the age she was living in, she paled in comparison to some other artists who no doubt had the privilege of gender and class over her in their opportunities for training.

What an amazing collection of Carol Herzer decks!!!! The Illuminated Tarot has been on my wishlist so long I almost forgot about it, thanks for the reminder ;) This is a bucketlist deck for sure.

Thanks. Heh. I hope I deserve that "thanks" in the long run LOL. Well, yes. I am 52 this year, and have told myself by 60 I want to be "collection free". So this is me enjoying the moment. Knowing full well that I am but a mere custodian and that I never truly "own" anything. Everything must eventually be passed on, and moved on, as the things I collect will surely outlast me! Hope you've been well!

@@NobodyHere Hey, "You only live once" is what I've telling myself lately when it comes to my "collection".... so there's no shame in enjoying those beautiful, sparkly decks while you can. Custodian or not, I think they are totally worth holding onto in the long run ;)

Hello! Yes I took it down! I was testing my wifi connection for this weekend. I will try to do a proper walkthrough video of the TDM based modern tarot I just received from Germany, by an illustrator and a design team based in Italy, Germany, and the UK (I think) called something in French which translates to The Hidden Star tarot 😁
