This is great! If you sew a 1/4" seam on the top you could add some Velcro and it would be washable.

There are nice affordable beginner machines now by Juk i and Baby Lock. I bought one as a backup machine for under $200.

Smart idea! Thank you for sharing your idea. If I make some I might try using some plastic sheets instead of cardboard, that way I can hand wash them if they need cleaning.

Cute fabric. Looks much better than the plain boxes from the store.

I love this bit I do admit that I clicked because I have the same fabric. And wasn't sure what to do with it.

The measurements will depend on the size of the box. Seam allowance is usually 1/4in to 1/2in depending on personal preference.

I have a lot of cardboard sheets cut to the same size, I have been wondering what to make with it. A few of these will be handy. There is always a "d" on the end of cardboard in english, was that a spelling mistake in the materials list? Easy enough to do. All the best.

This is a great idea but I think u should not have sew the carboard box inside the fabric c'oz since fabric also gets dirty. No worries u can still make some holes where u can take and out the cardboard box when ur going to wash the fabric over all nice idea thank u for sharing. ❤️❤️

I think I will cover the cardboard with contact paper first. That way if it got wet it wouldn't affect the cardboard.

Use Peltex ultra firm instead of cardboard, now its washable.

How can you wash the basket with the cardboard inside ???

I was wondering if cheap pegboard would work better than cardboard. It’s much more sturdy but still fairly lightweight.

I think any firm light weight products would work in place of cardboard. I'm considering foam board

For this project it’s best to use cotton fabric. But generally any non stretch, easy to handle fabric should work. Hope that helps, thank you for your question 🌼

Can you make a version where you can take out all the cardboards so it can be washed easily. And you can replace the cardboards when they have gone bad or wet.. Pleaseeee.. Thank you..
