The great Colin Quinn! Beautiful early call out on David rephrasing his bit. I love the shows with folks who are old friends, they're so quick to not give one another even one inch. Hilarious.
Colin is a comedic genius.
Colin Quinn is the BEST😅
Fantastic. Love Colin
Two of my favorite comedic idols who have some of my favorite guests/idols.
There is warmth and respect between these three fine comedians and it makes for a great conversation. Aces all around.
Love Colin to the max. Glad to hear Spade's transplant game is still strong.
Always a pleasure to listen to Colin
I got to meet Colin when I was 18 on my 1st trip to NYC. He was a guest on Conan (back when Conan taped at 30 rock) and while we were standing in line for half the day, we spotted him walking through the building in a hoodie, attempting to be discreet. With no consideration for his privacy whatsoever my friend and I began to shriek his name, jump up and down, and frantically wave him over like the annoying idiots we were. One would think he would have recoiled in horror and dashed away as quickly as possible, but instead he walked over to the giant Conan line to speak to us, sign autographs, and take pictures. He was so cool and friendly and of all the famous people I've encountered over the course of my life, he was hands down one of the nicest. Just so happened he was promoting his one man show, An Irish wake, and he hooked us up with tickets. It was an unbelievable experience that I've never forgotten. Was great to hear him on the podcast today. I know it's trendy to say these days, but Norm was by far my favorite Update anchor in SNL history, so I was simultaneously devastated and irate when he was fired. But I really liked Colin even though he was unlucky enough to follow Norm ❤❤and never thought he got a fair shake at the job. Much love Colin! You made a couple of young Canadian girls beyond happy because you were kind enough to spare a few moments of your time to interact with your fans.❤
Loved Remote Control with Colin and Ken Ober back in the day.

I just love Colin Quinn!
Loved this I adore Colin❤ Thanks
I loved David Spade on “Just Shoot Me”. He was hilarious on the episode that guest starred Brian Dennehy. I also love Dana Carvey, too.

I’ve met him too. Super friendly and approachable
David's wistful 'Sophie's Choice' ramble at the end about his best piece of work was classic. I agree with him that 'Just Shoot Me' was insanely great. The writing was like "The Front Page" or something...just classic, fast, witty...perfect! Oh and Coiln was cool, too. I now know who composed the ending credits music! Baba booey!
Spade is so good, he packs in so many hilarious jokes whenever hes talling.
I am enjoying Colin's KZread channel - Strolls down NYC with all the lore - The Long Story Short special which was epic and inspired me to read his book 'Overstated' which is also fantastic. Great interview as always!
Please elaborate on Rip Torn. I recently learned he was part of the underground scene of NY ‘70’s. Blackplotion films if ‘70’s I can’t spell
Another classic.
so underrated as host of weekend update.
Col is a Genius!! The Blame Game was a great bit!!! I enjoyed Chevy nailing the Buzzer like a kid as it added a whole different layer to Chevy’s Character! Like, who the hell is this guy?? He’s a racist, he’s a republican, he’s a typically white collar guy and yet he’s a childlike…. Lol plus Tim Started awkwardly focusing on the buzzer as well!! It was organically perfect!!
Colin and Dave Attell are probably the two comedians I respect the most, from the bits they do, to the shows they've done, and the people they've inspired. Of course you too, Dana (David doesn't care about some rando on YT, lol). I think it's safe to say David just cares that people like when he does his thing, and isn't embarrassing himself. It's a lower bar when you make it through a decade of Dennis Miller gaslighting. Love the show. Like an Econ class I took, the gems are in the tangents. -Shakespeare About 22:50, Colin does a disappointed-sounding "ohh..." that sounded like something Patrice would say, and right after that, Dana says "elephant in the room", rip. So many late, great comedians were on Tough Crowd, doing their best to be as smart and provocative as the standard Colin set.

"I had to quit smoking, doctor's orders. And I had to quit drinking, court ordered." - Dave Attell.
Was waiting for one of them to remember Farley's "Dad, I wish you'd just shut yer big YAPPER!" and good ol' Davey did.
Good show!
Colin quinn is a monster. Loved his show tough crowd. Ahead of its time.
Three icons
Parts of Long Island add an "r" to the end of words that end with vowels, much like the folks from Boston.
The stand up on the immigrant stereotypes was dead funny. Spot on I never stopped laughing watched it twice .. the other 250 yrs. of circular debate.. Feel better
"(it's four pages!) Yeah, it's too much."
I'm tellin' ya, 360 vr camera would take this to another level.
David: I couldn’t read the constitution. Colin: it’s four pages! David: yeah too much.
Your stand up specials would get you in to heaven Dana. Or, ask yourself, what would Norm think🤔
I'm not sure how David missed the 'CATS' reference during the question at the end. Obviously not a true SNL fan.

Dana would have nailed it! 😏
Colin is a bit of a historian. I like the history jokes.
This show really needs video.
A few new Tough Crowd episodes would be great.
14:45 Norm talk
i'm the first one to connect that farley to spade is like patrice to colin? really? patrice o'neal is the most underrated, unheralded of all-time, i swear
"Ok!! That's it!!! You're going on lockdown!!!!"
There are some similarities between Colin's voice and Trump's.
THE LION!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Dana sounds like gallagher
Wrong! The political commentator on Sunday morning That was a scream! Spot on

David Spade. The answer to your question from the listener should have been, I could submit anything and feel confident.
Colin is so smart, and his accent makes him sound dumb. I can say that because I have a dumb nyc accent too. I hate the sound of my voice when I hear it recorded.

My father was born and raised in Queens and commuted to the Bronx for college and spent twenty months in the Army in Texas. He left NY at 27 and had worked on losing his accent and other characteristics of a native New Yorker.
Ah. I forgot Colin did Remote Control. David, FYI. the M in MTV now stands for Manure since that’s what it replaced Music with.

What an intro 😅
You guys need video
He didn't get the Cats joke! Or he purposefully ignored it.
Colin on Roasts : I ALWAYS had the feeling that ONE person wrote ALL the jokes. All the same tone and structure. Can you tell the difference between Niki Glaser & Michelle Leggero ?
I loved the LION!!!!!!!!! LENNY THE LION
No video? :/
I'm here for Kuzco!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼... Who's this David guy?😒
You can totally be blue, I don't give a care either.
Spade not catching the "Cats" reference from the classic "Amazing Alexander" promo bit. 😆 kzread.info/dash/bejne/fnxkt9SqlKvFaLg.html
Ol Colin very Trump sounding lol his voice
huh ?
Is it just me or does Colin sound a lot like trump? Certain parts of his delivery for sure
@alexmckelvey3768

Yea, born and raised NY guys, I guess. Stephen Baldwin sounds exactly like Trump at times in old interviews too. It's weird to encounter that accent naturally, and not just being imitated.
Why can’t we see anything? David and Dana’s voices sound too much alike and they talk over each other and make too many sounds. Your mics are ON goofballs. Let Colin finish a sentence. Sheesh. 🎉
does spade assume thay we _do_ know who these addison ray and young gravy people are lol??
Do you feel intimidated by a subject your peers are knowledgeable of and you are not?
Quinn's problem live is the same as on the show. He doesn't finish a line or a joke. Trails off. Smart guy, but maybe he doesn't commit.
Colin was one of the few SNL members that never quite seemed like a good fit for the show. He's funny, no doubt about that, but his brashness always seemed out of place with the rest of the cast.

I’ve always felt similarly about guys who are what people use to call “naturally funny”. Put a different way, SNL is for comedic actors more than comics. In a room, CQ is funnier than any SNL player this side of Norm (see his radio interviews on OnA) and his standup is unmatched amongst SNL alumni imo: Long Story Short, Unconstitutional, Red State Blue State are three of the finest specials ever.

The only place where Colin Quinn seemed not at his best was when he read the news on SNL. MTV, Tough Crowd and everything else is great.
Me. Quinn, This is the problem with the art market, it is littered with ego. How do you cope with this or are you freed if the nuisances once you grew confident?
What's more cringe-worthy: Dana saying "I'm kidding" when no one's laughing, or when he says yes to knowing something he clearly has no idea about, i.e. Fred Armisen comic character Colin brings up?
David does talk too much but at least he sticks to the show theme and asks questions. Dana has no sense of the allotted time and deviates from the show's subjects. He's talented but Jeez. Let the guests finish an answer.
Quinn isn't impersonating Trump, but at times sounds just like him.
David has so much natural funny but the fact he can't read the 4 page Constitution because it is 3 pages too long is the reason he never rose to the highest heights of comedy - David is lazy and lacks the focus of the greats like Seinfeld and Leno.
Much respect for you two comedians doing this channel but it is awful. It's not comedy. Maybe a few snarky remarks but it is a talk show that is too much talking. What exactly does the fly on the wall do? Are we the flies? I'm on the wall thinking, I'd rather be in another room. Oh and hey Colin for trying to bring comedy lines that were shutdown by these 2
He’s funny 🤫🤫😎
Post video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Civilians eh? Did not know comics were members of the armed forces, I guess thank for you for your service oh ye brave jesters.

I guess you've spent your life in a cave somewhere. Any profession refers to people who aren't in that profession as "civilians". Comics refer to non comics as civilians. Actors refer to non actors as civilians. Chefs refer to people that aren't chefs as civilians. How do you not know this?
