I reckon you could make that paper packing yourself. In the same way I made my own tubes for fireworks. Get a piece of wooden dowel, as near the outer size of the spring in your lamp. Cut some brown paper the height of the original tube and make it so you can roll enough to fill the space between the spring and the generator inner core. As you roll it paint the paper with some diluted PVA glue. Wait for it to dry and then test it around the spring and hopefully it will fit the generator too. The paper is used to centre everything inside.

Nice video. That paper is shot. Old Coleman Parts website has new replacement paper tubes for $2.50 each. It's a great website for parts.

What mix ratio do you use on the citric acid/water?

Hi! Could I use teflone tape to packing the screwed parts? And to reinforce the graffite packing into the valve, too?

My Coleman 200A 1960’s has a clean generator but doesn’t draw fuel, not sure if you know what the issue might be?

Thanks for this video. Very nice and informative. Wow, that is the dirtiest generator I have ever seen. What do you use for fuel?

Hello, I'm fixing a 242B, the generator you show on the video. Does it have a hole in the tip ? I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance

Yes, the generator has a tiny orifice in the end cap.
