palmer is different gravy but has to do it for longer to be given the edge, under arteta saka is declining rapidly, has to be played in diff area of pitch

Palmer is a great player, but I would wait for next season and see how he can handle the pressure and expectations when Chelsea maybe are actually playing for something. This season there is no pressure, because almost everyone at Chelsea stinks except for Palmer.

No pressure? we did get to a caraboa cup final yk and we’re currently in the FA Cup semis… so we’re playing for something also being in midtable is massive pressure for the players because of how toxic it gets…

You must be staunch to rise above mediocrity. He's impressed me on many levels but mainly how staunch he is.

So Don. Enzo is excused cuz he’s been playing injured, but ure slating Saka performance against Villa when he’s clearly injured.

On pure ability it’s not even close Palmer is better… but we gotta let Palmer do it for multiple seasons which I think he will because he’s ridiculously good…

@@TeeboyH8596 u wanna know why he doesn't get doubled? cause palmer has a very high football IQ and can maneuver intelligently in the half spaces, on top of that his technical ability allows him to get away from players in tight spaces go look at his first goal vs everton and that is a perfect example of that... all you need against saka is a fullback that's quick enough to keep up and he's out of the game.. technically he's not as good as foden or palmer nor is his football IQ as high.. every single big game in the league this season palmer has performed and came up big for chelsea what are you on. 2 seasons in a row now saka has gone ghost down the stretch when arsenal needs him most.

@@TeeboyH8596 ofc he plays under pressure because our tactics are literally to give it to Palmer and pray... so if he doesn't perform Chelsea don't win so that's a lot of pressure. also hes taken 2 last minute crucial penalties for us this season and looked unfazed both times. It's also imo harder to double up on Palmer because he's got a free role for us he doesn't just stay out wide like Saka does... Palmer also has more technical ability about him to get out of double teamed situations than Saka...

I disagree , Saka has proven his ability over multiple seasons and is genuinely going to be a world-class player , everyone can see this when he plays . He scores, he assists, and is arsenal's penalty taker and always plays 90 minutes , Cole Palmer has had a tremendous season but he is nowhere near Saka in terms of ability and potential, Chelsea have been all over the place and sometimes one above average player can take advantage of this and become a talisman . I'd be surprised if he is even close to this next season and he isn't going to start at the euros ahead of saka , Cole Palmer didn't succeed at Manchester City and they were ok with him leaving therefore I conclude he isn't going to be world class in my opinion.

@@Matt-pn1ce A proper manager would absolutely have palmer in that euros starting 11 and it doesn't have to be at the expense of saka he's one of the best right wingers in the league.. as i mentioned earlier palmer's technical ability allows him to be as versitile as he is... saka is not as technically gifted as palmer he can't pick up the ball from deep and dictate and start moves like palmer, he can't operate in tight spaces quite as well it's too easy to take him out the game because he's so predictable and easy to game plan against.. u cannot do that with cole he will drift all over the pitch looking for the half spaces as well as have the ability to in from the wing if he has to.. pep himself said he wanyted palmer to stay when they sold mahrez cause he was up next, pep does not stand in the way of any player that wants to leave no matter who the are.. to say he didn't succeed at city and they were ok with letting him go is asinine, plenty of city fans were very upset he left as was pep. he's won trophies with them and was on the cusp of breaking through. 2 seasons in a row nowdown the stretch when arsenal really needed saka he's gone ghost again for the really high pressure games because he's too predictable.. all you need is a fullback that can keep up and saka will get frustrated and drift out the game.. like against bayern yesterday he was god awful.

Palmer played excellent this season 1 of if not the best winger this season but now next season he will be put on a pedestal with saka salah etc defenders will double up on him and will see

I reckon hes got more to his game than Saka to evade getting double teamed but we'll see... his fluid play style helps with that.

If saka is bad, then why double team him? Hes dangerous and defenders know it, with that being said palmer has been brilliant. Lets see what he does in second season syndrome.

Chelsea fan here Gooner lee is right in saying we need to see more from palmer before include him in these comparison debates... But for him to say palmer has had many poor performances (of which let's have it right he has had poor performances) and not be able to reference one off the top of your head shows his bias 😂😂😂😂😂 Look you don't have rate palmer i get but to say he's not a good passer/dribbler like he did shows he's not been watching palmer at all. Sometimes it's best to say listen palmer is having a good season but I'll reserve my comments until i see him do it over multiple seasons rather than make claims of things you do not know. And for the record Palmer is better technically than saka but it's too soon to say he's better than saka overall for me that's just my take.

Palmer is a better player than Saka. At the moment Palmer should be going to the Euros and play on the right wing position instead of Saka. Saka has been shocking and should be left out of the Euros.
