Oh me too. Huge Coldplay fan for many years and 2.5 yrs being ARMY too. This is the hugest GIFT!!

He seems like such a kind, genuine, and humble guy. I’m so happy with this collab, love the song💜💜 Seeing Jin's post about Chris letting him have his fav guitar after telling him he liked it, really warmed my heart. The guys seem so happy and as far as we can tell, they've established a real friendship with Chris.

There was a sincerity and genuineness that I’m not used to seeing when it comes to the media talking about BTS. They often refer to them as a phenomenon or as if they themselves are aliens and more times than not, their questions come off more demeaning and/or condescending when referring to them. Thank you Zane Lowe, for this interview that felt very much like an open conversation, that was very real and very wholesome. And thank you Chris Martin, you speak very eloquently and with a vulnerability that not many artists/people are comfortable with. Most of what you said, boils down to just being a decent human being and just simply doing your part to make this world a little less harsher and a little more kinder. And that’s exactly what BTS also tries to do through their music. For two bands that were not necessarily meant to collaborate together, I’ve seen several reasons why they most certainly fit together. 💜🐙

Well said! I couldn't agree more. Like in the second verse, RM and Jimin's part, and they said that we can't be together, because we come from different sides, pictures them. Many people think that they can't collab but they proved it was wrong! They meant to be together! This is like the best collab! Love them so much!

A lot of what Chris shares as his struggle as a fellow global citizen and musician sounds familiar to what RM has voiced. Touching to see that both musicians put effort to share of themselves, esp the parts filled with uncertainty and doubt.

Zane Lowe and his heartfelt honest interviews are amazing, and watching Chris Martin not holding back, but speaking from his heart is so beautiful. I think both bands have so many similarities, hence why it feels so natural. Thank you Chris Martin and the rest of the Coldplay members, and coldplayers for giving ARMYs an amazing experience.

I can't explain how much I respect this man. We need more genuine singers like Chris and BTS.

Oh Zane, your comment about songwriters being vulnerable & their lyrics making us feel a little less alone... that's EXACTLY what BTS does for me!💜

True ,that does the exact thing to me. BTS are what many songwriters maybe think to hold up but not always end up portraying such songs on the plate. But many musicians do that and convey each of those words and tell stories or messages through their songs imbued with genuineness and sincerety, and definitely BTS make my darker shades fade away even just a little every time with their songs & themselves as person.

THE WAY HE TALKED ABOUT OUR BOYS I CAN REALLY SENSED HIS REALNESS AND SINCERITY. 💜💜💜💜

Respect to Coldplay for wanting to share something this sweet with BTS. I was hoping for a collaboration after they covered Fix You and remembering they’ve been fans of Coldplay for a long time. Amazing song!

"I feel it's better to show up than to not show up." This. Especially with something like Global Citizen, or even BTS' work as Special Envoys to President Moon Jae-In. The work could be viewed rather cynically, but if there's a chance these artists can do some good with their platform then why not? I really respect Chris for his work and his words here. Chris and Zane are both amazing humans. Zane really cares about the music and the artists, knowing he's known Chris in the industry for years and years, this feels so special.

The music industry is so cruel, shady & greedy that it's heartwarming to see, for once, sweet, down to earth artists who genuinely appreciate each other & enjoyed making music together. Tysm for your kind words

I can not tell you how happy I am for this song. That they put in the effort to go to Korea, work on this song with them. I also don't think maybe some of the younger fans realize what a HUGE thing this is. Coldplay did not just toss a line or two to BTS. They did this song with them as equals, did the song half in Korean and put it on the Coldplay album. The reach Coldplay has in western music and their embracing of BTS and other cultures in general really is a great thing. The more outreach we have back and forth between us all help rid ourselves of what we perceive at times as cultures very alien to our own. But when bands like BTS and Coldplay do things together as equals it helps us all look across and stop seeing the "alien other" and realize we are all the same in our hearts. We all want to be loved, feel joy and contentment, following our dreams. In the end, songs like this open our eyes and we see beyond the superficial. It doesn't matter if the songs are in English or Korean or French or Arabic. We all understand the feeling these songs give us. In doing so, we take the time to look at a culture and people we did not know before and not be afraid or angry or judgmental. We can reach out, laugh, dance and sing with each other, maybe in the process even learn some of another language, or learn about someone else's culture and history. We are only strangers to each other because we choose to be. Make better choices.

Love that Zane is one of tne few people who gives genuine sincere respect to BTS

IDK why I feel like Chris would make a great senior friend for Namjoon...Their ideas seem to flow together so much....Chris seems very humane and genuine like him... And about his experience with BTS, I feel like he's that sort of an artist who have been watching over BTS's work for quite a time, he seems to be well aware of their concepts, even about the chemistry within the group, which is something only ARMY can relate to. Cold Play's concepts and BTS's concepts were both very humane and creative also they are aware of each other's style I think that's why this collab turned out to be this amazing. Like that instance he talked about how his Music of the Spheres actually being a set of love songs presented in a different place so that it gives the freedom to express... BTS's songs relate to that so well... I honestly respect this man... ColdplayxBTS is the best collab.... They are the artists who can truly resonate with each other's music and emotions...

Such wholesome interview, Chris is the sweetest about his visit and the process of making my universe, the way he talks of the boys in the most sweetest and kindest ways , you can tell they both Mutually love and respect each other so much 🥺

I noticed that what Chris is talking about with having a freedom and lack of limitation when you can cast the characters in an alien world, that is exactly how Gene Roddenberry felt while creating Star Trek. You can talk about subjects that you might not be able to in just a human world, and the results are just magnificent.

I really like the interviewer .. from the pauses in his questions and responses it seems nothing is “scripted” from him and nothing “put on” for the show just genuine person to person conversation.

Chris is such a wonderful human being. Right now I just feel the love, respect & awe between BTS & Coldplay. Good beings find eachother easily. Huge respect for both the greatest beings who are striving to help the world find themselves.

Chris seems like a really lovely guy, I am so glad that BTS worked with him and his band. I hope more people come to realise through this collaboration that there is more to BTS and kpop than the stereotypes of hyper corporate, hyper manufactured groups who only try to appear perfect. The reason so many people have connected with Coldplay and BTS is that both groups write music that is vulnerable. Sometimes reading translations of BTS' lyrics, I wonder how they had the courage to share those thoughts and feelings with the entire world but they have helped me so much along my own journey to becoming mentally healthy.

I’ve always loved Coldplay’s beautiful song but I never knew them beyond their songs, so it’s so nice to see this interview and get to know Chris Martin better.
