My dad passed away a few weeks ago and he’s the one who introduced me to music and made me fall in love with it, specifically Coldplay. This is a song that I listened to and loved for a long time but I didn’t realize the true meaning until after my dad passed away. This song describes how I feel in my grief and I feel less alone knowing that this is a feeling someone else has felt too. The fact that the world is moving on without him in it hurts but what he gave me as a father will always be within me.

I think Everglow is one of the most beautiful songs by Coldplay . This is also their best live performance ever, it sounds way better than the CD version. This is Coldplay. These four guys together turn into something beautiful. Every single song by Coldplay reminds me how beautiful life is. Thank You Chris, Johnny, Guy and Will. You taught me how to live.

I did things for her that no one may never do for her again, but still... nothing happened. This song it's like... like the perfect way to let her go. I loved her, I love her, even though we never got to be something real, even though we said we'll be friends forever. I will move on eventually, I know it, but the light that she gave me will everglow.

Wow, the live version is so much better. You can actually hear everyone's instruments. I hate that on the album everyone sounds so muffled and it seems like it's way too over-produced.

A year ago my boyfriend passed away. I played this song so many times days after the funeral and it made me feel a little better. At this moment, the memory of him stays but the pain has finally gone. I try to listen everglow again now after a long time, and it made me cry again. This song is really beautiful by helping me to heal my sadness everytime i feel lost when i remember my boyfriend who has already gone💖

I wish your happiness and believe better things are coming. :) I broke up with my ex bf whom we planned to get married and i couldn`t heal myself too. whatever i did, it didn`t help myself. One day, i listed this song and cried alot on the road and contined to listen this song as i felt better. Completely agree. The single version just stripped away all of the good things about the song (the things that are showcased in this video; the guitar, drums, bass, sound effects in the background) and just turns it into a generic piano+vocals song. This version is much superior to the single version.

I went to my first concert of theirs last summer and it was everything that I'd dreamed it would be! I've been a fan of theirs since I was a young kid and it was a moment that I will never forget. ❤️

This is the only performance I can think of where A song sounds more clear, better mixed and better performed live than the studio version. You can’t hear Guy’s bass this loud on the studio track.

Yes, you can feel the love, the passion and his gift of singing so clear. Every time my son of 9months can't sleep and is crying for hours because he can't falling in sleep, this song is my escape. When he hears this song he is falling a sleep in 4 minutes ☺❤

Everglow was the first Coldplay song I heard with her 5 years ago at a difficult time for both of us. I fell deeply in love with her and I think it was my downfall but one of the best moments I had. Every time I hear this, it takes me back to those moments when I was happy.
