The best way to drink the coffee is to add it to the hot chocolate. cafe mocha. The food and drinks and condiments are all meant to give you "X" amount of calories within a 24hr period.The price is meant to reflect the storage/expiration date of the food. Imagine there are no McDonald to go to...or no convenient stores to pinch from. The items in those packages would be gourmet life saving food. They are not gimicks..they are meant to keep you alive and to put away and have when in an emergency happens.

This one was really funny ;-) Well it remembered me on my military time back in 1978 - the ration packs were similar awful. I was the only one who fancied the "Panzerplatten" (tank plates) - very hard cookies without any taste ;-)

Dan USA MRE are mint only for bushcraft 24h or 72h. They should feed the military with better food. I lived off British MRE for 1 year. I think you got stitched up with that pack.

The powders are if you want to make curry say if you caught rabbits etc not to sprinkle on your food

Try different countries MRE's.... you can get them all online and ebay these days. Amazing the different food you get in them from other militarys.

I agree way to expensive. And in some MRE's they have dried scrambled eggs that you can mix with water and then mix with your beans and sausages. Much better than all mixed together. Thanks for sharing

Ours are pretty tasty in the US. They are not as thoroughly well packed as they used to be tho.

Nice follow up to the first part. Mazzy trying to stiffle giggles at the start had me chuckling. Would be interesting to see some from other nations. There's definitely a lot of variation.

Curry powder in the all day breakfast all day long! The apple/banana stuff looked crap where’s the screech orange drink that takes the enamel off yer teeth, it’s not a rat pack without that! Bloody expensive that bud eh, I recon go to Aldi and build your own rat pack 😂

I do believe it's cheap drinks but you really didn't stir them properly so maybe you have a clump of coffee at the bottom them same as the glass of apple or banana flavour thing, I could see a lot of powder at the bottom, you could have used the other end of the spoon to stir, if they're that bad, that's such a shame for our soldiers, 😢 hope the proper Army kit is better food 🙏 oh did your finger go through the tissue 😂😂 awesome vlog guys ❤🌹🍻

Yeah that is very expensive for what was in there. I think if you are a soldier in war and had nothing else to eat you would be happy with that.

You mentioned the biscuits or crackers. I'm wondering if they are in the pack just for the calories. I'm just thinking that perhaps each MRE is packaged and needs to fulfill a certain total calorie content, especially if a soldier needed to survive on them for any length of time.

Very entertaining Dan look like rubbish but if you went to go outdoors or similar each pack cost about 7£ so to buy the same separately would cost you more 👍

Very true

One of the reasons rations packs are designed the way they are is slimline. You Can stuff them down the missus's crack on the move for space saving. Also less weight to carry cos its not in cans. Brilliant episode lad x
