Well done Lars!! I just set up the previous model, works fantastic. I have a question, how do you keep stable the bottom part of the pump with the cord?

Currently using thick self-adhesive foam. Planning to design a proper base for it though.

Hi Lars. I feel that there is very little water comino out from the filter with the previous design, do you think I have water leaking from the pvc couplers?

  • @Messicano10

I just try without the filter and the water is coming out strong, like yours but without the filter. When I put the filter, the water flow is like 5%.

@@Messicano10 sounds like your filter is clogged with debris. Pop in a new one.

Nice setup. How are you getting that much flow though the filter? We have the exact same setup and have made the opening in the filter housing larger and don't have near that much flow.

It's hard to say, since you can't have this exact setup. You have the same Danner 1200 pump and GE filter? Can you describe the rest of your plumbing? The filter itself is one of the biggest restrictions. I'm not sure which filter you have and how old it is.

Fantastic setup. One of the best I've seen. I have 3 questions. 1. In this setup, when your splitter valve is turned on I'm assuming you're only filtering part of the water. Are you happy with the filter rate? 2. Have you researched any "cheaper" ozone generator options that you think could work with your design? 3. Do you think extending the inlet down to the lowest point would improve the filtering of debris? I love this design. Thanks for sharing!

It looks like you commented on the wrong video, since this setup does not have the wye splitter. Yes in the other setup you have some unfiltered flow providing ozone/air injection and circulation. The filtered flow is still more than enough to keep it clean. Putting plumbing on the intake really reduces the pump output. I don't think it is worth it. Most particles are either light enough to easily stay in suspension, or heavy enough to stay on the bottom. Even a low inlet won't get those. The spa vac kit takes care of those easily though.

This would be a cheaper ozone option for use with a venturi injector: chestfreezercoldplunge.com/product/jed-003/?ref=APEX86

Hey there - I purchased your set up a few weeks ago and am in the process of setting it up. Do you use any type of anchoring to hold the pump/pump base in place or does it stay on its own since the pump is so heavy? Thx!

Hey Lars is that a new Venturi? Also gph is your pump in the tank? I have a variable pump that think I’m running at to low of a speed.

  • @APEX.86

Yes, brand new high flow design. All other venturis I have seen would be far too restrictive to run in this layout. I use a 1200 GPH pump.

@@APEX.86 so are you selling this one yet? Reason I ask is mine is working okay but doesn’t keep the water flowing great. I’m using high flow pump that I keep turned down right now so I don’t blow everything apart.

@@taberknight9238 I'm not selling it yet. My plan is to test it for a bit longer and to develop a more secure way to mount the system. I may sell a small number of the venturi to people who are happy to tinker with their system. Send me a message on my website if you are interested.

Not yet. I am still prototyping and refining the design. I think I am close on the venturi design, but I still need to work on the stability of everything. The "bottom" of the pump is curved and has the cord exit. Not everyone has the adhesive foam that I have on mine, so it would all just tip over. I will probably design a pump base to make it more secure and vibration free.
