In the mid-90’s, I lived and worked in the Hamptons in NY. Because of that, I had the opportunity to meet several celebrities. 95% of them were actually quite nice, down-to-earth and respectful. The ONLY class-A jerk that we ever had to deal with was Robert Wagner. The similar businesses in California had already decided not to sell to him in any way, because he was so awful to them, which is why he tried to buy in NY. His friend and former co-star, Stephanie Powers, who lived in the Hamptons, even tried to influence us on his behalf (she was quite nice). But we ended up not doing business with him as well, because he was a total jerk, a@@hole and tyrant. (No matter how sweet Stephanie was….) Based on discovering his true personality, I have always believed he killed his wife. Robert Wagner’s first love was Robert Wagner.

What an insightful and compassionate reading, Ellie! I have nothing to add to the story, but I do want to say that in 1984/85 I lived in the same apartment complex in Ft Lauderdale as Dennis. He was a “boat guy” like my yacht maintenance father and he went with us and others out on my father’s customers’ yacht for “test drives” and I found him to be extremely private. I had NO IDEA until I saw him promoting his book on the Oprah Show that he, in fact, was the captain on the Wagner’s boat on that fateful night! His sullenness made sense then, only 3 yrs after that traumatic night.

I'm from Southern California and every now and then my mother or my husband and I would visit Catalina for a getaway weekend. One thing I noticed about the people who lived on the island, seemed to have chosen to live there due to a search for peace and quiet. You could almost feel their distress at having to deal with lots of the tourists, not even the drunk ones, just in general. I can only imagine how extra hard their presence would have been on those who had to serve them, even the locals in general. My parents were both in the entertainment industry and Robert Wagner lost a lot of respect for a while. It was a sad close to what became her unhappy life. I also worked for a PR firm for a while and the celebrities that hired them, paid a bit more than $2k per month in the early 80's. Thanks for the reading!

There is a 13 part podcast on the life and death of Natalie, pointing towards RJ Wagner’ jealousy. She was doing a movie with Walkin at the time and the scuttle butt around L.A. was that he was trying to help the two of them patch up their marriage. RJ was inconsolable for months after the death and friends were worried about his state of mind. The police were investigating him for years. The daughter wouldn’t speak to him and he nearly collapsed at the funeral.

Natalie Wood had many bruises on her body from being beaten up by Robt Wagner. That's why the police have changed the findings on this from being an innocent drowning ...from accidental to suspicion. Did you not believe anything the capt (friend) Said about what occurred after Wagner broke the bottle of wine ? Natalie went down below because she was furious with Wagners behavior. Not because she was bored!!! Anyone who wants to know the truth about what happened to Natalie should read the book The Splendour.

If they were intoxicated, who knows what happened? Shame on the captain. I believe if he was intoxicated, too, that is dereliction of duty. I usually believe what people say at the beginning. Over time, memories become inconsistent & greed motivates some people to lie for profit. Great, insightful reading, Ellie. Thank you.

Natalie had been in a movie , Brainstorm, with Christopher Walken. Is it possible that CW was having an affair/flirting with both of them and she caught the men together? Obviously this information would ruin their careers which could be the motive to make sure she never told anyone.

Hi Ellie, Your explanation helped me visualize Natalie’s emotional state and line of thinking that led her to the dinghy that night. Finally it makes sense that she was found in dark water. I feel so sad for her. Gypsy was a compelling movie, Natalie must have felt a kinship with the character she portrayed. In Miracle on 34th Street she portrayed a little girl who didn’t believe in Santa Claus and through a series of events she changes her mind. Love With the Proper Stranger is a story that still resonates today. Natalie and Steve McQueen both made their characters believable human beings. What a wonderful artist she was, so beautiful and talented. May she rest In peace.

Natalie was like other actresses like Liz Taylor in that she found herself around a lot of GAY men. She thought she could change them. When James Dean found her hard to shake, he arranged for her walk in on him and Sal Mineo. At least 40 years ago a guest on The Geraldo Rivera Show stated matter of factly the relationship was between Wagner and Walken.

Beautiful, thoughtful and insightful reading, Ellie! I really enjoyed it. I believe you're spot on about her being confronted with the truth that she had been betrayed and had given Wagner 20+ years of her life only to again, be made a fool. And when she realized the truth, she wanted to get away from them immediately. So in her inebriated state, she decided to take the dinghy to shore. Perhaps she fell into the water when trying to stand up in the dinghy or when attempting to start the boat. God bless her.

I've been listening to your reading and one theory at the time that you didn't mention here is that she had gone to bed and the dinghy was banging against the side of the boat, keeping her awake, so she went up on deck to tie it more securely to the boat and in the process, slipped and fell in the water and that's why she was wearing wool socks, a nightgown and down jacket when she was found. This scenario seems just as likely as any other to me, and might explain a darker theory that was floated at the time (no pun intended), where she called for help and was mocked by (?) and that's what the people on the other boat heard at the time. Just another theory. Also, as I recall, the reason Christopher Walken was with them was he and Natalie had just finished a movie together, her last, as it turned out, and they were celebrating the end of filming. I can't recall the name of the movie but it but it was sci-fi themed. I love your new channel btw.

Thanks Ellie well done as always. I just wonder if she put herself in that situation and cried out for help for her husband to choose her and save her. And when that knight was too drunk (sleeping) to get on the white horse, she finally stood up in the boat and was going to start using the boat engine or the oars to get back to the boat, then she fell, hit her head on the railing and went overboard unconscious and drowned. Sad ending of a fine person.

I almost drowned in 1950. My brother had me on his back, swimming around. He got severe leg cramps and told me to grab an inner tube his wife was on. She was terrified of water but she had been persuaded to just float on a tube. I was told by my brother to grab the tube (he denied he told me that.) His wife tipped into the water, the tube floated away and I was drowning. I went down 4 times before I was rescued. I took swimming lessons later that summer and two years later I took swimming lessons 3 more times. For the next 40 years I could not run the shower over my face. I washed my hair separately. At age 86 in 3 weeks I cannot get in a swimming pool. THERE WAS AN EXCEPTION!!! When I was in my 20s and wild, I got on a tube countless times in the dangerous Kern River in California. Crazy.

Ellie, don't forget, the last movie she did was with Christopher Walken and in the movie they were each other's love interest. A lot of actors in this position tend to develop feelings towards the actor that is their love interest. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt both divorced their spouses after playing love interests in a film. It wouldn't surprise me if they both developed feeling for each other. 🤷‍♀️

I have admired to work of ALL 3 ACTORS for a long long time. I fear the seed which was planted years earlier by the fortune teller possibly lead to her fateful intoxicated action which sadly lead to her passing. Sad! So Sad! My hat 👒 off to your exquisite talent. “… wanting to overcome her feelings ….” I feel it is clearly evident she recognized being a WORK IN PROGRESS. Then the depression, intoxication, and exhaustion she was tired of the struggle. It was a accident death as she was walking away in a huff. Love from Maryland USA 💙🇺🇸☕️🫖

She Stormed off, tried to Get into the Dingy Missed. And RJ and Walken were too Drunk to Notice, in time to Help her. Is what I have always thought. Neither RJ or Walken Killed her, but they were not capable of Saving her.

In addition to many things I would never do sober. Some things I have no memory of but have been told. I can see getting in a dingy to go to shore in defiance as a real situation.

In regards to the drunken state of 'the boating party' and their rudeness in the restaurant, do remember that, in the 40s, 50s, 60s and even the 70s... drunkeness was not as frowned upon as it is NOW. While the rudeness (which I find intolerable) was never acceptable... drunkeness was more socially accepted in society THEN than it is now.

This is such a kind thing you are doing for them. In the State of California, if a patron gets drunk in a bar and subsequently meets with an accident...the bar can be held liable...I think the bar was covering their bums...just in case. In retrospect I'm sure they heaved a sigh of relief that they notified the harbor master. Wagner married hi co star Stephanie Powers from Hart to Hart as soon as Natalie was out of the way. Did she have salt water in her lungs, that would have been determined at time of autopsy If Walken was there having a tryst with Robert, I can certainly see why he NEVER spoke of the indident again. She looks suicidal to me. Maybe she was unconscienceously TRYING to die in dark water? WHAT A STUPID THING FOR THOSE MEN TO LIE ABOUT! I think you hit it Ellie...WELL DONE

When someone is truly drowning you're not able to shout out for help because you're in a "panic mode" just struggling to keep your head above the water!! I think she was trying to escape from the situation and drama at hand and being that she was intoxicated...and not thinking clearly...she miss calculated her steps getting onto the boat...and simply fell overboard. And since everyone else was also intoxicated they wouldn't have been coherent enough to notice that she was missing until they sobered up a bit.

Before the year 2000, it was common in North America for restaurants to be required by law to sell no alcohol without food. The law hoped to prevent public drunkenness by filling the stomach with food to soak up the alcohol thus slowing access to the blood stream and avoiding public intoxication in locations catering to families..

Oh Ellie... your readings just are the best. Great topics to read on too. I would like to add that I've read that NW's mother was the worst stage mother on the planet possibly having breathed life into to negative term. She reportedly gave her daughter the responsibility for the family's survival, driving her daughter relentlessly but giving very little emotional support or love. As a tween or teenage actress, NW was in a movie, which was filmed on a body of rough water at night where she was pelted with water & a few times she'd come close to drowning. NW & Walken were filming together in her last movie called "Brainstorm", a haunting movie somehow finished after she'd died. Word on the street was that she relied heavily 9n his support but as you pointed out may have had deeper feelings for him. Autopsy reports revealed bruises on her body some of which were not fresh but were covered up in reports & not revealed until years later. Hollywood hush hushed the story and for years not many facts were available to the public. It was reported that people on a boat nearby heard male and female voices arguing, splashes and pleas for help from the female. They supposedly turned on their boat lights but could not see anything . RW refused to let the captain call for help until 6 or more hours later after they realized NW was missing... I cannot understand how a seafaring man would allow such drunkardness on his vessel or would postpone calling for help. The Hollywood actor having brutally raped her was eventually revealed to have been Spartacus, Kirk Douglas himself. Tragic doesn't begin to describe her life.

Very interesting! I grew up in California and I remember this case very well. My intuition at the time about what had actually happened lines up exactly with your reading! Didn’t she have bruises on her body and head that indicated she might have tripped and fallen while trying to get into the dinghy? Also, I read somewhere that she was up for a big part or a major project and Wagner was not supportive of her desire to do it which made her feel blocked and angry.

The bruising is said to be odd. Like she was dragged out of the boat. Also, the dingy was not locked in place according to the Robert Wagner. The story according to Wagner is that the dingy was tied to the side of the boat and was very noisy causing Natalie to try to tie it tighter. That doesn’t explain the bruising which the coroner described. The boat captain was interviewed and stated that the dingy was tied to the back of the boat on a shelf and wouldn’t have been bumping the side of the boat. The boat captain’s interview is also on KZread.

Ellie, Thank you for this❣️ As a contemporary (a few years younger 😉) of RJ and Natalie I have been a fan for most of my life. It made me very sad to see the unhappy and finally tragic end of their relationship and I followed the news and later developments with great interest. I had my suspicions and, for fear of litigation for your channel and myself, will keep them to myself. As to the restaurant owner, perhaps compassion was his reason for concern, but there is also the possibility that he feared them causing an accident after drinking heavily in his establishment and feared a lawsuit if they injured others.

Such a powerful, compelling reading Ellie! Love your depth into the research, complexity of everything and everybody related to Natalie. Wow - she carried her victimhood (and sadly self-fulfilling prophecy) into and beyond her death . You have set her free!

I just wanted to leave another comment, Ellie on how amazingly you portrayed the essence of Natalie and the intricacies of her relationship with Robert and potentially Christopher Walkden. I’m an empath and I carried this story with me for hours. Wow. You oh have a great talent for tapping into energies. Thank you again.

The images I had as a young teenager of the movie stars lives at the time was so off for many of them. Yes they were glamorous but the emotional turmoil that went on inside of them is quite disturbing. Obviously they were excellent actors hiding all that pain.

Per Natalie's close friends, Kirk Douglass was outted as her assailant while Natalie was still a minor. She spent some time in a hospital due to the ferocity of the attack. There was no reason to do this to anyone let alone a child. Personally, I think Natalie's aggressive Russian mother had said something offensive to Douglass, a Jewish immigrant. As a result, he took his revenge on the woman's child.

I have been to Catalina several times by public ferry, but once on a private boat that sleeps 6. We had other friends also on their private boat of the same size. It was a Friday night when we crossed to Catalina Island and tied up. Our boat rocked and banged terribly and we had to turn back to shore. The other boat followed. My point is how rough the water there is. I don't know about the night Natalie died, but I would hate to be on a dinghy.

Ellie, have you done a cold reading on Actress Thelma Todd? (1906-1935). And the circumstances surrounding her death? I’ve channelled her, and asked. So, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

QUESTION: Hi Ellie, could you do a cold case reading on the 1982 Tylenol murders?- I love both of your channels and could listen to you talk all day, your voice is so calming.

Ellie I must say your content is very good I am living in s trailer right now in USA. No money not working no cable or wifi. I have my phone so TY!! Your story made me recall there are a couple videos on YTube about Catalina n it’s paranormal side. Nothing to do with this boat & death of poor Natalie Chris Waken is an intense guy. Did you see him with Denzel Man on Fire. Great movie w/little Dakota Fanning. Soundtrack amazing Long comment Obvious live alone sorry.

Wow, Ellie, what an amazing reading. I remember when she died, and the unanswered questions and suspicions about it at the time, and have always wondered what might really have transpired then. Your reading of events feels right to me. Thanks also for the fascinating biographical info and larger context you give as preface to the reading--your stellar research skills shine again, and adds so much to your reading (this and others, too).

Hi Ellie. Love this show. Another fact about Natalie Wood was that her phobia of water was so extreme It prevented her from learning how to swim. On the set of The Green Promise, nine-year-old Natalie almost drowned when a scene went horribly awry. She was told to run across a bridge that was only set to collapse after she made it to safety. Unfortunately, the bridge gave way while she was still on it, sending Wood into the watery depths and causing her to break her wrist. I heard her talk about this on a talk show and have also seen the scene from the movie. Thanks for the video.

I may have seen this before but I didn’t see the thumbs up. You did such a thorough job that would rival any documentary honestly! I can’t believe you remembered all of it & did the synopsis of facts or theories without blame or outcome. Whether fear of litigation or allowing the audience participation in assessment it worked very well with approach. I observed this once before un a documentary in Jin Benet Ramsey since we don’t know how her death occurred too. The inky thing I was curious about were the large bruises, primarily the backs of her legs. They may have said after autopsy consistent with a fall. The Empress card could be Russia lately. You have mire depth & detail which is fascinating to me. I an not working right now so since I can’t contribute$ I did mention your T-shirt. Hope that’s OK.

Hi Ellie. I really connected to what you were saying about Natalie Wood and water. For me, though, it's not conflicting or confusing at all. I cannot stand water that is not in a bathtub. I cannot have a shower if the nozzle is over my head -- I have to have a hand-held shower. I cannot stand water in my face at all. Even her being defiant and putting her face in water, I have done that, for like a nanosecond to prove a point, where I have total control of what is happening, so I get it. I also love being at the beach, listening to waves, being around water. We have a boat ourselves, and I love being on it. I love going on cruises. It is truly a love/hate relationship for me with water, so I get it. I suspect it might have something to do with a past life/lives but the end result is the same. Thanks so much for looking into this mystery!

That was an interesting but quite a sad reading Ellie. Thank you and I'm inclined to agree with your conclusion - what a waste. Is there any chance you could do a reading on John Denver? And maybe Marilyn Monroe...but maybe the latter wouldn't be safe to do. How's the Vic weather? It's very cold and rainy in Adelaide - but I think I prefer it to a hot dry summer : )
