Thank you Delvin-Pedia! The last piece they played, I've become quite attached to, but I couldn't remember its name & now I know. MOTH has threatened to blow up the Castle if I don't stop playing it lol. I have extracted my revenge by hiding his Bacon & Egg Fry Pan. He's only allowed the 1 pan, he keeps burning everything he cooks & he is not allowed any of my good pots & Pans! I thanked the Kitchen Gods that I keep Frozen Meals handy, when he lost the Bet & had to cook for a week ha-ha.

Another Excellent Baton Production! All tastes catered for! I have to admit to giggling, the Drum Major put me strongly in mind of Captain Mainwarring of Dad's Army Fame, don't know why, because the DM is very Good. Anyway thanks Mr B, does us good to be reminded of the Special Relationships that Squadies have with the Civilians & Towns close to their Base. In the typical understated British way, goes to show the Patriotism & Respect of both parties.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. To be honest I was expecting it to be busier as it's basically a garrison town but guess people are at work. Always wondered why they don't hold these parades on a weekend when more people and families could get out to enjoy and show their support.

Lovely video. Thanks to @delvinrodriguez3341 for listing the marches. Super. Although the British Army Band Colchester are super, I still find it a shame that the Band of The Parachute Regiment is no more. . . especially on occasions such as this.

They may be able to jump out of a perfectly good plane, but Marching in step seems too hard. Anyway, where are their number ones and bayonets, not to mention the colours? Sorry about this, my dad was royal artillery, so I am biased.

Hi, Freedom of the City? Doesn’t look like it, should be bayonets fixed, colours flying, mascot pony on parade, Regimental band and pipes and soldiers in No. 1 Dress with medals displayed! Or is this what we get these days with the whittled down Army of Great Britain? I know its been a few years since I marched through Aldershot when 3 Para had the Kees to the City and we proudly marched with a swagger like we owned the place! Oh well, it’s just a very old Paras memories. Cheers mate. Harera

Thank you for your kind comments, I am afraid my French is not very good but hopefully you can use google to translate. Changing the Guard will take place on Wednesday 5th July, with the bands of the Coldstream and Grenadier Guards and on Friday 7th July with the band of The Scots Guards and Irish Guards Pipes and Drums. (according to the Changing The Guard website, those could change though) No Buckingham Palace Guard change on Thursday 6th July I am afraid. Hope you have a good time at the military musical spectacular.

@@GerardNierengerger I am not sure, but I would think it will be about 7.15 or 7.20'sh leaving Wellington Barracks. Once they get to Horse Guards they start the the event straight away. They do not stand around waiting. Hope that helps.
