Colégio Militar - Metro | Colégio Militar / Luz (AZ)
This Lisbon Metro station, better known only as Colégio Militar, is located in the area of the bus terminal with the same name, in the Benfica area, Lisbon. The station was opened in 1988, following the expansion of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. It has works of art by Manuel Cargaleiro and was designed by the architect António J. Mendes.
Currently, the station connects directly to the bus station and Centro Colombo (office complex and shopping centre). A few meters from the station is the Estádio da Luz, owned by the football club Benfica.
// Accessibility
The station has access elevators to the lobby and boarding platforms since 2019. There is tactile flooring on the boarding platforms. Audio and visual announcements are available at the station.
ML 90
This series of 56 carriages was manufactured between 1993 and 1996 and was distinguished, at the time, by its large windows.
ML 95
This series of 114 carriages was manufactured between 1997 and 1999 and was distinguished, at the time, by the single glass on the front of the cabin.
ML 97
This series of 54 carriages was manufactured in 1999 and was distinguished at the time for being the first metro trains with open gangways in Portugal, allowing passengers to freely move throughout the train.
ML 98
This series of 114 carriages was manufactured between 2000 and 2002 and is the latest generation.
// Accessibility
The Lisbon Metro trains do not have places for people in wheelchairs, access being made with portable ramps placed by the station staff. However, there are priority places for the elderly, pregnant women, and people with reduced mobility. All trains have audible and visual warnings.

    Acessibilidade boa. A Arte do azulejo é interessante embora não tenha entendido muito bem a ideia do artista, nessa aí. Já a arte da estação restauradores, não tinha como eu não entender 🤭😁. Obrigada pelo vídeo.👍

    Creio que o Metro de Lisboa não dê temas para os artistas trabalharem, mas deixam os artistas terem liberdade para pensarem no que quiserem para cada estação
