But a quick aside on the title itself, "Tu Jhoom." Abida Parveen (her first name is pronounced Aab-dah) is a legend in Sufi music. Sufi (or Tasawwuf in Urdu) is the mystical side of Islam. It is very prevalent in Pakistani culture. Because it always easy to translate a feeling into a language that doesn't have the thing that incites that feeling, the translation of the title of this song is a bit wordy. "Tu" is an informal way of saying "you" and "jhoom" is essentially both the action and the resulting transcendental feeling one gets when dancing to Sufi music. So they're essentially telling the listeners to let go of your worries, etc. and "jhoom," as in dance freely and feel exulted as a result of your dance of bliss.

I'm so glad Coke studio didn't go for word to word translation for the lyrics. Rather they chose to translate the meaning which the lyrics convey. The word to word translation of Tu Jhoom is dance in ecstasy but they chose to translate the meaning which is their in video. Genius and beautiful
