Listening to this song I can't help but think of how prophetic and intertwined with fate all of Balance's lyrics were towards the end of his life. And even though it's impossible he could have forseen his death approaching, his imagery is constantly involved with the idea of his mortality and the fleeting nature of everything we experience, its all so transient and passes quickly. in that way, this song always evokes with me a sense of looming despair and futility, but even more so, a chilling sadness that's inescapable. RIP Johnn and Peter we are decadant and symmetrical

In this (much loved) song there's some of the atmosphere you find in one of the most beautiful albums Marc Almond ever made: Mother Fist and her Five Daughters. It's well known that Marc, Jhonn and Peter have been good friends, and JB often dedicated this song to Marc in the live gigs. So "ahhhrrrr"... Pirates, graves, men, decadence, and rivers of alcohol. i feel that Balance's oeuvre overshadows that of Genisis. He started out as an admirer but quickly proved to be just as lyrically and artistically capable. his work was understated and brilliant while P-Orridge's was unashamedly underdeveloped but shocking. Genisis had put together some truly amazing collaborations throughout the PTV years but he'd never reach the artistic mastery of the language that Johnn had.

Oh I SEE
In this (much loved) song there's some of the atmosphere you find in one of the most beautiful albums Marc Almond ever made: Mother Fist and her Five Daughters. It's well known that Marc, Jhonn and Peter have been good friends, and JB often dedicated this song to Marc in the live gigs. So "ahhhrrrr"... Pirates, graves, men, decadence, and rivers of alcohol. I love it, I love it, I love it...
Who made this video? Was it Coil themselves?

听了很久,想了很多关于爱与死的故事。爱伦坡笔下的丽姬娅借尸还魂,和莎乐美说的“我要约翰的头”,心里不能平静。
Interessante
Does anyone know at 3:15 this is a Russian actor who later became the famous psy trance DJ Gabriel Vorobiev (Dj Gavrila?). He starred in the " Philip Traum" movie? Блин,это Гаврила что ли? Он как раз говорил, что в конце 80-х был в Великобритании,где ему колпак оторвало.

i feel that Balance's oeuvre overshadows that of Genisis.
There's a girl lying down in a grave somewhere With the same tattoos as me And I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her, I love her There's a girl lying down in a bed somewhere With a different set of sex aspects And I hate her, I hate her, I hate her, I hate her, my eyes
