Only way to fully appreciate this masterpiece of an album.. then, proceed to listen to all other albums including the newly released Vaxis 2: Window of the Waking Mind and their first album The Second Stage Turbine. All of it pertains to the same epic sci fi story. Also, Claudio’s side project The Prize Fight Inferno tells the same story from a different point of view (Jesse’s aka TPFI)

Absolutely agree. It’s so powerful. Makes you feel so hard. Still remember driving around in my first car, a shitty 87 Pontiac, with this cd on repeat.

Only was 33 comments. Cmon where are the old school fans. I feel off after the album one or two after this but this album is so nostalgic for my era

I first listened to this album when I was 18 working at a bank when I asked a coworker if he had anything I could listen to. I was instantly hooked. Bought the cd myself the next day.

This album is gold. Def their best work

How this song relates to the lore of Armory Wars: The battle has begun between the URA and the rebellion, who are both fighting furiously. Many are killed or wounded and, amidst the battle, Chase is captured by the URA. In an attempt to gain the affections of Jesse, Sizer gives himself up in exchange for Chase’s release. The URA agrees to the deal and Sizer is taken away to Shylos Ten, a quiet planet where the URA performs its brutal interrogations.

I discovered this CD in a store many years ago when you had to shop for music. Alas it was a great find and to this day I miss the days of searching on my own!!!!!

I have been a fan of Coheed since welcome home and knew a little of the Amory wars story, but now with the release of Vexus I am a true Child of the Fence. I am going back and revisiting the Amory wars and truly getting the story I have to get the comics. I love them.

Back in the day, before the comics, on a website called cobalt and calcium... the old blood theorized over every line of lyrics and on a grander scale, wtf exactly was happening. Arguably, we helped shape some of the story. Not anything large enough to change the story, just enough to tell it in a more comprehensive way. Those times were so much fun. The Amory wars begin and end with The Afterman: Ascent/Descent. Even though chronologically it is a prologue. Before Afterman "On The Brink" was considered the end of the Amory Wars and in almost every context it is. IKSOSE3 and SSTB both have epic battles in them. "Man your own Jackhanmers" is generally agreed to be more bad ass than "I need Mayo" however i digress i love it all. Including Prize Fighter Inferno albums.

When I hear Coheed and Cambria I get Visions from it's all positive even though some of the lyrics I feel the spirit of the song better than the lyrics, and the lyrics are absolutely incredible and if there's something negative in the lyrics my heart and God and me will screen it out

Easily one of my favorite Coheed songs!!

Found this song so many years ago. It was used in a Planetside 1 fan video and I ended up looking for it then found a bunch of other C&C songs. Glad it happened. Wish I could find the video today but this was long before the days of YT

I jammed out to this album everyday until I got punk rock albums. But even still I had their live DVD , so they were my staple when I went punk. I smoked so much weed to this album!
