One has to expose themselves slowly to their triggers. The key to getting better is to not give in to the obsessive behaviors in order to cope with the stressful environment. This will only set the patient back. By being in the moment, and staying in control (as much as you can) the brain slowly rewires . What woud normally cause a patient to panic and obsess then becomes easier and routine.

He said he would give her sheets to play around with at home. What is she supposed to do?

Practice that same intervention using different situations she comes across outside of therapy

What if all her answers were yes to his questions? B'cuz that's when the actual thought challenging happens. Isn't it?
