I belong to a women’s group and our coach said she would make lists with pros and cons, reduce to two choices, then flip a coin. She would assign each choice either heads or tails, but regardless of what came up on the coin flip, her intuition ultimately made the final decision. It is a very interesting concept, and one we clearly need to trust. ☺️

Speaking as a Campbell Riverite, I think you have made a great decision. You have the beauty and peace that is Black Creek, the Oyster River is a lovely river with great swimming holes. Also, you have a docter's office, groceries, gas, liquor and hardware store nearby. Your two closest beaches, Miracle and Saratoga are very beautiful and popular. Close to the Comox airport too, which has direct flights to Calgary, Victoria and beyond. Enjoy.

I would like to think that the future of Tiny Home living will be more acceptable to society as it is becoming more of a need for affordable housing than every. Since living in US it's very evident that tiny home communities are thought of trailer parks and not very welcomed.

Indeed. It’s a shame one random neighbor/stranger has the power to complicate/uproot someone’s peaceful, keep-to-themselves life. If Adelina and Sophie had been throwing loud parties 2-3 nights a week, with traffic, trash, fights and drama, okay, she’d be a lousy, annoying neighbor worth dropping a dime on/getting rid of. But that’s not how she is. 🙄

I don't understand what the difference between having a tiny house vs. an RV parked on a lot. Glad to hear that you've found a spot you're happy with.

I am delighted that you have found a new place for your home. I just relalized that this video was published a month ago, so you may have already moved andfi settled in. About a month ago my computer self-destructed - most likely from old age, but I was lucky to find a Hewlett Packard laptop, with all sorts of capabilities, not only at a good price, but on sale. I'm still getting use to it. The only problem I have is I can't seem to get the hang of the touch pad; so I'll be checking out a new compatible mouse. Any ways, I've missed keeping up with you. You take care, be welll and safe, and may you, your family and friends be surrounded by loving kindness.

I AM a Senior retired and all, so your research and homework is AMAZING for me to consider alternatives to have a Park Model or trailer as a retirement spot! Great too that your friends did the sheet of comparisons, as one of my BFF's shared that with me years ago, the list with pros, weighted for prefences etc, GREAT IDEA! Almost as good as one fo your spreadsheets :) I had never considered return to B.C. as I left Vancouver area so long ago in the 70's as it was too expensive even then :( I HAD to LOL at Gabriola Island choice, as yes I am THAT old to have been a very laid back Hippie at one point :) KUDOS again for sharing and helping me much! I’m really thrilled for you.💛 As an aside, did I miss a vid abt Keaton w/the problem w/his leg/knee? I have been quite ill, as you know (/am/ quite ill, as you know) & sometimes doze off during my favorite YT vids, including yours, so need to rewatch. Did you do a separate vid on that or was it part of another? Can you put the link here if it’s not too much trouble? I sure hope he’s feeling much better. Please lmk, ok? Sending healing & love to him. True story: my kids went to a school district for a number of years named Oyster River so that’s funny given the place you’re happy you chose. As another aside, did you happen to see that just over 500sq’ tiny home on Bryce’s channel recently? I was a little surprised bc their tiny house, which was relatively large, was still sitting on all its tires (the couple had lived there for abt 6 months); also they hadn’t skirted it in. This, I believe, was in NZ, but still I was surprised more tiny homes aren’t cared for like yours. They even had their trailer hitch sticking out & were living in a remote area. Didn’t look like they had any lock on the trailer hitch, although they were living near another tiny home w/neighbors they were tight friends with. In any case, it really made me appreciate all the hard work you do to keep your home safe & sound. You’re such a fantastic role model for us all.✊🏼🌟✌🏼

And the Salmon restaurant makes for a lovely destination after a sunset walk along the ocean from river.👌😍 Welcome to the valley. Keep Coastal black’s events in mind for when grandkids visit. I just found your channel today after watching your video on Exploring Alternatives. I've been seriously thinking about tiny home living for a few years now, and interestingly - yesterday I discovered and connected with the people at Teacup Tiny Homes! I just love your home, and your videos, and..... I live on the Sunshine Coast! Thank you so much for those reviews of potential spots. One of the things that has held me back (besides financing) is the place to put it. I'm going to look into it now. Yes, I would love a video about your search process. I live in a small seasonal rental cabin and have to be out for 2 months each summer, and am really longing for my own place.
