He's still gonna be wearing the belt too, right? Would be weird to just wear a ring as a championship; doesn't really display the fact that you're the champion all that well in front of a crowd. As a cute little extra thing, though, I like it.

Noy Club I don't mind the ring at all, I think it's a neat thing to make his championship run something unique, like how Christopher Daniels used to be the one to never adhere to the Code of Honor back in the day. I just want him to wear the belt at the same time is all, to visually give him the champion look and aura, something that's hard to do with a ring due to its size.

Jokers TV Wut? They did? Why would they sue them? What reason do they have? And aren't they still using the Tag & TV titles, and aren't those made by the same people? I mean, seems like weird logic to stop using one belt due to a lawsuit, but not the others, if they where made by the same people. Are you sure this isn't just hear say? Because I can't remember reading anything about that in the Observer, nor hearing about it on any recent Observer radio. Did this come out today or something?

Jokers TV I'll classify it as highly unlikely for now, then. Makes more sense that the ring is simply a storyline to go along with Rhodes' character, and if there's yet another redesign of the titles in the works, that's just an unrelated happenstance than anything else.

I hope they don't redesign the ROH world tile. The current ROH belt is best looking belt in the ROH title's history. In fact, the current ROH belt is one of the better looking world titles today. If any world title needs to get redesigned, it has to be the Universal title.

+Bullman Dave Milican is suing a toy company for producing replicas of the ROH belt without Milican's copyright. Dave Milican is the guy who designs and creates belts for WWE, NJPW, and ROH for use on TV. ROH hired the toy company to produce the replica belts without Milican's consent

Yall can say what you want but to me it makes sense, Cody has a kind of mob boss gimmick and having a ring instead of a belt DOES make sense, and also draws heat for getting rid of the belt. Hes doing really fine on his own, needs a bit to get in the "indie style" more but other than that hes doing good.

Genius - I don't think it's something I want to see passed to other people, but to define one's title reign, doing something creative like a 'ring of honor' is a great, fresh idea to add to Rhode's character. It'll also be fun if he uses it during matches.

The atmosphere was amazing

BulletPlayz - Bullet Adams Actually he's right. Cody was being wasted in WWE as Stardust, a character he did not want to portray. When they wouldn't let him be himself, he left and now look at him. He's a World Champion and he's better than he's ever been. WWE is floundering right now because they let go of great young talent like Cody Rhodes, like Wade Barrett and soon Rusev. They have to rely on the big names of old to generate some kind of buzz because they fail at ushering in new talent the right way.

Honestly, it's surprising that they haven't thought of this earlier. But it's really cool! And I hope they keep this going as a legacy thing. Like every wrestler who wins the belt should be presented the ring like the HOF.

Damn, I forgot all about this guy. This is the Stardust dude from WWE. This video was in my recommended list, being a wrestling fan, decided to click to see how ol Cody was doing. Looks like he is back to the Cody whom fought Booker T. Mid carders in the WWE, are world champs elsewhere. Still feels like a mid-carder, but I would rather see Cody than Finn. His Booker T feud was his best work. I always thought Cody was decent and could cut a promo. Was not a fan, but good to see him doing well.

Something that I kind of love and hate about ROH is the ropes... the cable is actually very... wonky... it drives me insane on one half because it's untidy, but on the other hand I love it because it makes ROH's ring stand out and shows how much actual wrestling is done. Anyone get me?

It's not on tv here in the UK, so my guess would be via their website. The last time I looked at their website they have a video on demand service that shows past and current ROH shows. I'm not entirely sure if they charge a monthly feel to watch the shows, but it looks like you have to sign up to the site in order to use some of the features, especially if you want to watch the shows from their early years, ie, 2002.

I REALLY hope Cody is just using the ring as a cool add-on. That world title is way too cool to just drop.

I actually like the ring idea. A little on-the-nose, but someone had to think up of that idea sooner or later. Puts a nice spin on the "honor" aspect towards ROH's world champion, while Cody just basically says "I can be way classier than a belt around my waist". He did say on Twitter that he'll bring the belt whenever he feels like it, meaning his insignia as Champion is The "Ring" of Honor. #KissTheRing

To be honest, I think it's time for Marty to move up to the ROH title ranks instead of being TV title bound. I think Hangman Adam should be in the ROH TV title ranks. Marty's been ROH TV champ, lets see him be ROH champion. Shame that Marty and Cody are tag partners though.

I feel like this makes the "championship" way less tangible.

I would like to say that I do like Cody Rhodes he is a great wrestler in the ring. I also agree that the WWE Dropped the ball on him . But also Impact did as well they should have locked him down to a fat contract instead of just a few brief shows that he did before he left to go to ROH.
