This is extremely late and I don't even know why I'm revisiting this at 1 am but it really says something that Cody actually looks at himself and has some honest reflection (especially considering that it's JAKE PAUL criticizing him and that he didn't even do something bad in the first place) and yet Jake Paul receives constant criticism (for actual garbage shit he's done) and never even makes a Real attempt at self-reflection and change. @@speeeee35 Jake intentionally wields his drunken state as a weapon to harm people. Drinking is a choice, and good people with anger issues go to shit like therapy or AA to control themselves. To frame it another way: If Jake said "Cody, things would have been different today if I brought a gun to the show, you're lucky I forgot it," everyone would say that Jake is using the threat of an occurrence to intimidate Cody. This is the same shit. I think plenty of people unwittingly have bought into that drinking is an excuse - but end of day you are always responsible for the actions that you perpetrate on others, drinking or not. Alcohol explains stupid actions, it doesn't excuse it.

If he already covers his tracks with “oh I was drinking and that’s why I punched that guy” then who’s to say he wouldn’t do that in other situations. 11:00 this is so true. as a 16 year old girl (since jake mentioned impressionable 16 year old girls who watch cody) who looks up to so many comedians and commentary youtubers, i stumbled across videos like codys when i was a little kid, it taught me the ropes of comedy. how to make a joke. the thought process. what made people laugh, and now i can use those skills in the future. but to jake, we are all just "impressionable children who don't know any better." it also helped me learn how to take criticism, and take a joke. when you look at the world with a critical eye, you can start to become your own best critic. that's why jake never learns. because he just doesn't have that skill, nor the people around him to provide him that.
