This is sadly gone now according to the arcade's social media it's a shame there's not many of these these days but they are really fun! :)

This needs a little bit of TLC, other than that it’s looks quite vintage, would’ve played typical Hillbilly western music! I love it when targets squirt water at you 😂

What a shame some of the targets weren't working, I guess that's a common problem on these shooting galleries! Btw When I went to Botany Bay yesterday to see the penny arcade, all of the old machines were working again! Including a fairground working model that wasn't working when I went a couple of times, unfortunately the laughing policeman was sadly mute! :(

I never know how many aren't working and how many I just don't hit due to poor aim. lol You could see my dad started hitting more towards the end of the video so maybe fewer were broken than we originally thought. There is another one of these in Mablethorpe so I'd like to go and film that one. What a shame about the laughing policeman. Not much point in a laughing policeman who can't laugh! Hope they get him fixed soon.

It was actually manufactured by Pan Amusements in the late 80s.

I've got all the original advertising and news articles from when this was released. It was definitely released by Showrides in 1979.

@@coryvazquezlol Hi. I can settle this as I was working for R G Mitchell in Skegness when the Cody's Cabin, and its big brother, were designed and built. My input was the mechanical design and sound effects. The artist/sculptor who worked on them was an accomplished artist who had previously worked on film sets, including Tommy.

hello there , my name is liam kavanagh from hunstanton on the east coast . i beleive you know the thomas family who had two arcades there ? i had worked in thomas,s showboat for 28 years , we had this pneumatic cody,s cabin shooter from 1980 - 1994 . sadly then we scrapped it . i am overjoyed to see there is stil this one working . i had done numerous work on this with target infra red sensors and constant breaking of cams and linkage as the air rams were extremely severe . we found that mitchells had gone bust within 18 months of this machine being released , so unfortunately spares were extremely hard to get hold of . so many things i had to plate up and repair myself. some of the later ones had improved electric air valves so the rams moved more slowly causing less damage ... such as hillbilly moonshine. this to me was one of the first and most appealing pneumatic shooters ever with its vintage 8 track player in it for the redneck western music and indians scream . as well as a quality clarke group air compressor too. if you ever consider selling this machine i would very much be interested . as it could really be brought back to life and restored i,m sure! many kind regards liam.
