Watching this is pretty surreal.

Crazy that they spent 2 years on a story line leading up to WM40 being Cody v Roman for the title, just for them to drop the Rock Bottom on it last second, apparently unbeknownst even to Cody himself. I'll eat my whole ass shoe if this is planned and they pull something good out of this. Cody's my favorite in the WWE right now and I'm so bummed out. And I LOVE Seth, the Rock was my favorite wrestler as a kid. I just don't like how things are playing out at the moment.

Triple Threat matches completely suck and water down everything, they water down the credibility of wins, of the title, they're cheap, you can't do a proper build between a babyface and a heel. Rock is 51 years old & tore his hamstring and abdomen the last two Wrestlemania matches he had, 10 YEARS ago. 4 matches in 20 years, and got injured in half of them. Roman is also a part-timer who only has had like 5 matches this year. They're both slow and out of ring shape. No stamina. Rock will get hurt 5 minutes in, and Roman will just walk around the ring talking to the camera the whole match. To top it all off, this is Philly, a very vocal crowd. They're going to boo them out of the building. Sure, it was a "dream match" 4-5 years ago. This will go down as one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history...dream match, lmao.

@thedogg120 That's fair. I hope I'm so too, but only time will tell. In my personal opinion, there is no master plan, and they've buried Cody for good, just so Rock can stroke his ego. They may change course due to all the backlash, but it won't be because of genius booking. It'd just be damage control. I legit think Rock just used his political power to put himself in the match and ruin the momentum of the company's biggest full-time star, and it backfired. But I may be wrong, and I hope I am.

People want to be so selfish that they are willing to actually trash and begin to hate The Rock over him taking on Reigns at Mania. These same ppl have been clamoring for The Rock to come back and face Reigns for years. Now that they get him back, they aren’t satisfied. Do they realize this may be the only time Rock can come back. If it doesn’t happen now, he might never get to come back. When the Rock showed up and uttered his lines about sitting at the head of the table, these fans were happy and wanted Rock v Reigns. But as soon as Cody won the Rumble, those same fans turned on The Rock. They don’t want Cody v Rollins, that’s not good enough for them. In their minds, it has to be Rhodes v Reigns and they want The Rock to go away. If somehow and for some reason WWE caves in and changes it to Cody v Roman, I want and hope The Rock exits stage left and doesn’t say a word to the fans about anything as if he never came back…he just goes back to his life and never mentions the WWE universe again. That’s what these stubborn wishy washy fans deserve.

They are basically saying Rollins and the World Heavyweight Championship arent good enough for Cody, it’s gotta be Reigns and his belt or nothing at all.

@@walkinphoenix45 everything I'm seeing is saying specifically Dwayne pushed for the match and to go over for the title otherwise we'd have had something not so cut and dry like idk Cody winning the rumble which wasn't called in the ring it was the plan and the plan was Cody finishing the story w Roman and if it was in the creative team they would've made it to where it was Roman taking on rock and Cody because Dwayne doesn't need a title for his story whatever that may be Cody's does and it's already cooked for a good long while anyone trying to detract from the fact that Cody isn't more over it's obvious now and it's possible to easily have both of them contributing without one having to lose the spot they earned it's not Cody fans crying and even if it was there's way more Cody fans than rock fans RN so what is really good for business is making fans like myself and you happy and both of them take on Roman probably night one or two Cody could easily beat Damien for the briefcase and cash in at the end of rock vs Roman or could be a triple threat or even they could've work injured Rock and he returns at mania to neutralize bloodline interference and Cody finishes the story rock would look way better in any of those scenarios than he does rn
